The hotel was built in 1969 so from the outside it looks pretty dated in style however the interior of the hotel is beautiful with real old world charm. A fantastic bar with panelled wood walls and friendly staff. Good size rooms with fresh bathrooms and great location near the botanical gardens.

Professional team to welcome us at reception and the dining room. The foyer and dining areas were beautifully decorated for Xmas. Room was clean and again beautifully presented. Room service was quickly delivered and very good. Stunning view of the botanical garden and river. Amazing full breakfast buffet. Very happy, thankyou for hosting our staff Xmas function.

Evening meal lovely and very enjoyable love everything about our evening meal in the restaurant. Room was noisy, walls thin, could hear the family next door. Woken early by people up and down the corridor, particularly kids banging on room doors. Rooms could do with updating, particularly the bathrooms. Carpets in bar area and room corridors could be better vacuumed. Wasn't given any information on arrival about available facilities, just directed to the lift! However, bar service was good as were the bar meals. Would we stay again- a resounding no due to the noise levels and lack of sleep!
