Staff could be friendlier. The common areas seem to be overcrowded by people who are not staying at the hotel, which is fine but something to be mindful of. Overall, this hotel was a 10/10. The staff at the rooftop bar could be friendlier.

Pros: -location is very convenient -lots of elevators -quiet for the most part -taxis/rickshaws right out front -gift shop available to purchase snacks etc -in house restaurant Cons: -hotel needs TLC ie. toilet flush is weak / shower pressure is weak - not cleaned throughly between visitors ie. found toothbrush and hair tie on the floor - elevators are quite ‘wobbly’ and almost sound like they’ll break anytime -Starbucks is not a ‘real’ Starbucks, very limited options and hours - request for hour later checkout so kids can sleep before our flight was denied

My stay was okay for the price. I would have rated 5 but the air conditioning wasn’t the best. The entire property runs pretty warm. I had the AC running for hours at the minimum temp and highest fan speed, but it didn’t do much. Hovered around 76 degrees during the day. Luckily I was able to open a window to get fresh air. It’s not a big deal breaker but it is good to know if you’re a hot sleeper.

Beautiful hotel with art deco beauty and wonderful staff. The rooms are clean and spacious. I love the central location and vibes.

Air conditioning in room was horrible, thermostat never went lower than 70 degrees. Bed and pillows not comfortable. Was very disappointed because I’ve been to several Hampton Inns and always had excellent air conditioning and bed / pillows.

Rooms were very clean and hotels in a good location. Not too noisy but easy access to Penn, MSG, Times Square, Theatre district and Hudson Yards. Kevin at the front desk was fantastic. Very professional and knowledgable and he put customers at ease. The hotel is already ageing though. Such a shame. For example, the interior of the elevators are beginning to show signs of wear, though. It’s not surprising, because it is a public space. Still a great hotel though. I would stay here again , as long as the price is right. Warning!!!! A junk $81 was added to the bill even though I had made full payment at Hotels.com. This is irritating, and should have been disclosed or customers should have been forewarned at the time of booking. Hotels.com MUST do better about this.
