Clean updated rooms, staff were very friendly, incredible location next to everything! Entrance off Broadway hard to find - look for Krispy Cream to find it.

If you’re looking for a small, simple hotel in the heart of Manhattan within walking distance of Times Square—but without the constant lights and noise—Hotel St. James is a great option. The location is fantastic, making it easy to walk to many theaters, restaurants, and major attractions. The hotel itself is economical and clean, which is exactly what we were looking for during our stay. It’s definitely not a luxury hotel, and the mattresses could use an upgrade. However, if you’re someone who values location, affordability, and a quiet place to sleep in the middle of Manhattan, this hotel works well. Overall, I would stay here again and would recommend it to friends and family who don’t mind modest accommodations in exchange for an unbeatable location.

Everything was perfect. Location, staff, rooms. One improvement could be having refrigerators in rooms.
