The property is in disrepair, chipped paint, weeds, trash, cigarette butts everywhere, and just not clean. The shower was gross with peeling wallpaper, cobwebs, and stains. The towels (used to be white) were an off white dirty looking color. The hallway to the room and the room itself smelled bad, like mold and mildew. The service was good an everyone was polite…but it did not make up for the shape of the property and the dirtiness.
The room was clean but the door did not lock at all. We could throw the deadbolt but the door itself did not lock. We had a big dog with us so that made me feel a little safer. The bathroom looked like it had been water damaged and they just painted over the rotten area. We didn’t notice until morning. There was mildew all over the shower and there was water scum build up so I did not shower. We paid over $169 for the night and would NOT recommend staying in Douglas or this specific hotel. Way over priced for the stay and if I had know all of this prior and not booked through Travelocity so I wouldn’t get a refund we would not have stayed at all.
The large indoor pool/reception area gave a good impression. The property however has aged somewhat from its glory times as a convention center in the past. The restaurant/bar in the property is a big convenience and the staff is quite friendly. Indian cuisine menu available as well as western food choices.
Property in general needs so much work! It is too bad cause a wonderful hotel but needs a complete remodel. Don't be fooled there is not complimentary breakfast unless you want old bread and cold scrambled eggs
This hotel needs a face lift. Thecrooms are extremely outdated and have marred walls and electrical wiring flaws.
The front desk gentlemen and the bartender were very friendly and extremely polite.

The staff was wonderful and helpful! We had a fabulous dinner and the pool was perfect for kids.
Overpriced is the main issue. The outside and general area condition is nearly completely uncared for, which is of course a reflection of the quality of the accommodations. The price is at least 50% over the quality of the condition. Beds, HVAC, filthy shower curtains, stained towels, etc, all bottom level quality for $150/night. And it’s too bad because the pool and restaurant bar is good and the owners are great i am sure. It’s a clear lack the kind of American pride that makes things last, keeps humans safe and sane, and care for concern.
Arrived after dark and the sign was not lit, parking lot poorly lit, thought the hotel was closed. Found entrance and received one key card. Got room and it was so poorly lit we had to use cell phone flashlight to unpack bags. My wife left a couple of pretzels on the nightstand and next morning nothing but crumbs, mice? Terrible!

Liked: Room comfort
The conference Center and our room was clean. The stairs leading to the rooms on the second floor were carpeted and very dirty and need vacuuming.
Older hotel needed updating but clean. The lunch dinner menu was a treat- lots of Indian food choices.
Cheapest, dirtiest, crappiest motel I’ve ever stayed in. No daily cleaning, the room was not clean when we checked in. Ice machine doesn’t work, they serve “breakfast” that was such a dirty mess- stale bread and eggs with watery substance. Just very poorly ran and seriously smelly and dirty

Pool area redone nicely but is located out in the open in the lobby. Breakfast had been hit hard by staying workers early, and didn't have more to put out for other guests
DONT STAY HERE! I usually stay in Casper but this was the only place with rooms so I tried to tell myself the other reviews were maybe exaggerated. NOPE! It’s super run down the pictures don’t match. The floors clearly haven’t been cleaned in a LONG time. The bathroom floors were sticky. Everything was filthy. I had to run through and clean counters and commonly touched things. Just disgusting. And that smell? It hit me in the middle of that night—it smells familiar because it’s MOLD. Which explains the obvious fresh paint everywhere. And once we realized the smell is mold we started to notice black mold in the bathroom and the corners of the room. Wild this place is still up and running!
