The balcony was a non event - not even worth calling it that. Light comes into the room under the door and through the door hinges making sleeping difficult. We evn put a towel at the bottom of the door to try and lessen the brightness but nothing could be done about the huge gap where the hinges of the door were. It was a great location butt a budget price means it is a re lbudget and not very comfortable room with a sloe chair and a desk chair and bed. That was it. Oh and one tiny long lige milk carton for 8 or so coffee sachets.
Location is perfect for convenience to all areas of the CBD. The hotel is receiving great updates (pool are etc) and once completed will be wonderful. A smart TV in the room would have been good.
It was a lovely hotel stay. Staff were attentive, kind and caring. Only issue we had was with the bathroom in the room. I was able to use it fine but my friend who is taller than me had to crouch down to use it because of the step up. Also left water over the floor if the pressure was too high. Flaw on the design of the bathroom for functionality. O
Both times I have checked in the staff have been very helpfull and always prepared to help and answer any queries promptly .The room service staff were very efficient and profesional
This is definitely one of the better, reasonably priced hotels in the theatre district. Close to the main shopping areas and great dining options with China Town nearby. Buffet breakfast better than most with great variety and freshness. The staff are so friendly and courteous

Noisy but good location
Great location. Average breakfast buffet (pancakes and pastry’s a little stale). The big down side of this was the noise from the street. Our room had a little balcony that couldn’t be accessed, but had gaps around the door which ment all street sounds could be heard in room:(
My wife and I requested a quiet room. Checked in late. Woken up at 7am by construction noise / hammering and then later again with the lift.
When checking out, we informed the reception team only to be told that other guests have reported it and they will speak with the contractors. That’s a little late for us.
Putting us on a floor with construction after requesting a quiet room is disappointing. Also not disclosing the fact the hotel is under construction is terrible.
We found the staff to be friendly and accommodating. Our room was very comfortable and breakfast was delicious. The hotel is in a great location, close to restaurants and the MCG. Value for money. We will definitely be back.
