Nice design focused spacious room with balcony. Great full size toiletries. Front desk made an error with credit card and they comped the resort fee of $50. Nespresso coffee in room. Bathrobes. Great central location.

The rooms are incredibly small, lighting very bad & very little room to store clothes. Bottom drawer in closet does not even open due to the closet door track. Bathroom lighting pretty bad also. Our tour paper holder was broken so it kept getting in the way & even after the cleaning service left we had to call down for Tolit paper. The employees were exceptional & hotel was very clean. Unfortunately the door men talked us into taking a taxi to the airport to save money claiming it was way cheaper than our $60 uber & they know the taxi driver and they work a good deal for us. As we arrived at the airport I was charged $80 plus tip. We will not be staying at this hotel again. It was not terrible in any means, there are alot of positives also.

The staff were excellent. The accommodation not good. One would think for $500 dollars a night one could have breakfast included. There was a bar that was not open. Common area dark and unpleasant. Won’t stay there again ion next trip to NY. Will also tell others not to stay there. It would take very little to make the whole experience better.

Mixed Emotions

We stayed at hotel AKA for two nights and three full days. The hotel is located directly next to Koreatown so there are a lot of great Korean restaurant options within walking distance, including karaoke bars. Oscar Wilde was a beautiful late night spot within walking distance. Getting a taxi is easy and convenient because of the location. The staff at AKA is SO helpful. They are so kind and always were offering a helping hand. They allowed us to store our luggage upon checkout and called a taxi for us to head back to the train station. Complimentary water, a waterfall shower, and comfortable pillows. My only complaint because of the price point is that the hotel room was strictly set at AC only, without a heat option, and it would not let us put it below 68 or above 72. The window opened which was so nice to get fresh air, but closing it was so difficult as it’s very old and we woke up to the sound of horns honking. The TV has Netflix and is very large. Also, my biggest complaint is that they were knocking on our door constantly every morning at 9-9:30am. Once was someone asking if we needed anything in the mini bar restocked and another was the cleaning crew asking when we are checking out. The cleaning crew was even unlocking the door before I got the chance to get up to answer it. The bathroom lighting was probably the worst I’ve ever seen. The mirror is LED with lights inside of it but doing makeup with bright natural lighting was impossible here.

The hotel has a really slick-modern design from the outside, you get the same feeling inside, the room are really spacious and well designed. The staff is super nice, helpful and welcoming and the area is pretty central it’s a great return on your money

Clean property. Werent able to accomadate early check in even with a 2 week notice. Also I took a hot shower and triggered a smoke alarm in the entire hotel. The hotel can put numerous smoke alarms, but can’t invest in proper ventilation for a shower.

Hotel AKA NoMad is a beautiful, modern hotel with a sleek, calming atmosphere that offers a great escape from the city's hustle. The room was clean, well-designed, and surprisingly spacious for New York. The bed was very comfortable, and the overall ambiance felt upscale yet cozy. The location is a major plus—centrally located and walkable to great restaurants, shopping, and landmarks like the Empire State Building. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout our stay.
