The apartment is lacking a few things that are key to me when wanting this set up vs. a traditional hotel room such as an oven, washer/dryer, and a comfortable seating (sofa and side chair where not comfortable to sit on). I don’t like to eat out every meal and having an oven to make meals was missed. I also like being able to wash clothes as then I don’t go home with a suitcase full of dirty clothes and I also pack less knowing I can wash something if needed. The apartment itself needs a refresh as the cabinets were showing their age, paint needed touching up and the furniture felt more IKEA grade = cheap. The kitchen had VERY basic things to cook so keep that in mind.

I have stayed here many times and always find it above average. The rooms are clean and spacious with many options from a standard hotel room to a two bedroom apartment. Plenty of activities for children, and pet friendly. My only suggestion is that they need to decorate the rooms with more wall hangings such as paintings, rugs, etc.. During COVID it seems that they took everything down but have not replaced them since.

The pool had black mold all over the side wall and didn’t see the filters working. Water was not circulating. I have stayed numerous time at this hotel and notice it has declined. Our room had a kitchen and was told they no longer supply paper towel note dish detergent. Something so inexpensive. So why then have a kitchen? Indeed has declined a lot.

Wonderful, but…

Overall the Melea was a wonderful vacation and we will be back. That said, there are a few “annoyances” with the pool that must be shared. There is music playing from morning to night. The repeating track is not that bad, but the volume increases throughout the day which was really annoying, especially when trying to have a conversation. But, that was minor compared to the live DJ on weekends who blasted the music - so much so that you could hear it reverberating off the building and even inside the condo. Unless you left the premises there was no getting away from it. Less volume would have made it palatable, at least. Also, at 11 on Sundays, the pool is taken over by a Zumba instructor who also plays her music way too loudly. Hardly anyone in the pool participates. Mostly it was just friends of the instructor standing on the pool deck cheering her on and taking pictures. We tried to avoid the 11:00 hour by the pool if possible, which meant leaving the premises because the music carried into the condo. Good time to head to the parks. All the other activities are wonderful and the pool is delightful, albeit for the loud music.

It was our Granddaughter's birthday visit! they sent up balloons and truffles to our suite! The rooms where clean and comfortable. Some of the furniture could use some updating. The pool was amazing and the front desk ladies were awesome! This is our second stay and we love it ! We even brought our dog!

Wonderful

Loved staying at this property. The location of the unit was perfect and the proximity to WDW and 192 was very convenient. The unit itself, although sparse on kitchen accessories (we went out and purchased our own non-stick fry pan), was comfortable. Loved the activities sponsored by Melea Orlando, esp. the painting classes with Teri. The pool was wonderful. When we weren’t at WDW we were poolside. Our dogs loved the dog park. We will definitely return.

Very Friendly and professional staff.

The property was nice and resort like. The unit itself was very sparingly decorated and equipped. As a VRBO property owner myself I thought the unit could be better equipped for week and longer stays. Once again the staff could not be nicer and wanting to please.

Great property!

We enjoyed our stay at Melia. Our room had plenty of space and was clean. Check in/out was easy. And only a 20ish minute ride from the airport. Celebration provided us with quick access to groceries, nice restaurants, and the WDW parks.

Very happy with our stay

We were really happy with our stay here. We have had a few run ins with not so clean rentals while traveling with our dog. It’s really hard to find a decent pet friendly place. Our kids absolutely loved it- the pool was so fun for them and they have lots of games set up which is a nice touch. They did a great job of having someone come right over and clean the items we touched when we were done. So I felt like they were really putting in an effort to keep things safer during all this covid stuff. Our room was clean, and we were SO happy to not see carpet anywhere inside the room! With pets you just know it’s going to be gross. It was really spacious, and we really appreciated the kitchen, nothing worse than a mini fridge! It’s nothing spectacular, but we were really happy overall. Great area as well- restaurants and I-4 all right there. Super convenient.

Requested rooms to be cleaned, one room received a cleaning. Asked 3 times for other room to be cleaned and it never was.. finally on last day they called and asked to clean it!! Horrible housekeeping..
