Excellent location. Laundry in the unit.

The location is outstanding. It is right next to the Wellington Cable Car. It has a quick way to get to the water front area. The combination washer/dryer does a small load in a hour. The clothes are damp when they come out. There is a drying rack in the unit. We were able to do most of our laundry (tops, socks, underwear, a few pants) from a week of traveling in 2 loads. They were dry in the morning.

No aircon

Large clean room with small kitchen area. The rooms are quite dark, being surrounded by other tall buildings. There was no aircon in the room, just a fan that was noisy. It was however close to the shops and seafront.

The Gilmer Apartment Hotel was a great place for a cozy stay. The kitchen was clean useful and adequately stocked. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom clean. We would stay there again!

It’s exactly what it says it is, an apartment hotel. It plays that role well, just don’t expect anything extra. We were not sure how to regulate the temperature in the room. A fam was going when we arrived so perhaps that was it. The combo washer/dryer was nice.

Unit was very simple and plain. But it had all the necessities. The washer/dryer was a bit funky because the wash/dry was in one unit. Not a problem, just different. Easy walk to wharf.

Great place

The receptionists were all friendly and helpful. The location was great. We were able to walk to so many places, and took a bus once. The room was big and had a nice little kitchen area and a washer/dryer. We were on the third floor so the room was a bit warm, but it cooled off ok at night. We would definitely stay here again.

Property was nice and close to the CBD, pity there was no air conditioning (just a table top fan) so we had to sleep with the windows open, then before 7.30 the bins get unloaded outside so you don't need an alarm clock

The cleanest hotel room…ever!

This is a small hotel that is near Lambton Quay and the Terrace. At first sight, it did not look like a hotel. When you enter, the reception is very small and there was a long dark corridor to the rooms. I was on an upper floor. The room was surprisingly spacious! There was a small kitchenette and a washer/ dryer. What struck me most was the fact that this was the cleanest hotel room that I have ever stayed in (and in a year, I may have stayed in 20 hotels!) Everything was lovely… the one possible drawback is that the reception closes early. You will need to pick up your luggage before it shuts!
