This may have been the best property for the money in the area but can't be sure of that, it needs some help in some areas. It is very close to Hearst castle so there is that. It was quiet which we liked, staff helpful. The room itself just needed some upgrades that would not cost a lot but which need to be done, We slept well and it did the job.

The hotel was really pleasant however there were a large group of motorcyclists staying and we were booked into the room next to the car park. If we had been in a different room I would rate as excellent. Area surrounding hotel was beautiful and access to Hearst castle and the seal cove was easy. We wouldn’t recommend the next door Mexican restaurant as overpriced with mediocre quality.

The pictures are very deceiving ! The hotel is very out dated, including the rooms and lobby. Our refrigerator in the room was so loud we couldn’t sleep. I picked a “seaside” suite which was just a basic room with a distant view of the ocean over the condos and houses that were blocking the view. No beach access unless you walked over two blocks. Huge disappointment !
