It was very tired it smelt musty and a lot of damage that wasn’t fixed. We felt it would have been amazing when newer but very expensive considering it needs a refresh. The towels and bed were great.

Quiet birthday getaway

The checkin process was easy. The villa is very spacious and comfortable. The bed was king size and comfortable, bathroom was clean with basic products included. The spa bath was clean and large enough for 2. Overall could not really fault the villa or our stay. Would recommend staying and would return if in the area.

My Tambourine is a beautiful place . Natural Beauty, a high standard of reasonable restaurants bars etc . Overall very friendly vibe . The escarpment retreat was very nice but did lack a few extra touches that would and could have made it special

Overpriced, deceptive property

Pretty disappointing and overpriced stay. No daily room servicing as they property claim its due to COVID... Except there is no community transmission and its clearly a ploy to pocket more profit while still charging the same nightly rate. Witnessed the cleaner of another room post checkout not wearing any PPE, so obviously not concerned about COVID after the guests check out. Absence of room servicing was only advised after check in. Then there was the charge per night to use the fireplace (yes... You read correctly and again, only advised at check in) except if you're staying between June - August. Clearly the high cost per night is simply too little to cover the use of a fireplace that is plastered throughout their marketing pictures. Conveniently for the establishment, they insist on guests attending the breakfast room strictly between 8.30-9.00 am so you can sit there for 40 minutes while the serve on a first come first serve basis. Despite the in room guest guide stating that each room has WiFi, the don't and mobile reception is non existent. We were with telstra in room 6 and had no service at all. The outlook to the spa in the bathroom would be good if the plants in the outside courtyard weren't dead... But fairly consistent with other poorly maintained aspects of the property... Such as missing lights in the garden bollard lighting where we nearly fell down the stairs due to how poorly lit the area was to get to the car park. Avoid avoid avoid.

This was a beautiful location for a romantic getaway. The villas are large and well presented. Breakfast was delicious, freshly made to order and the staff were friendly and welcoming.

The property is lovely and the room was fantastic. Very peaceful and loved the fireplace. Breakfast was scrummy and the main room with the fireplace was very elegant. It would have been nice if it stayed open all day, as an afternoon read by the fire would have been a treat. The lookout is a great view and a great place to sit and watch the sun rise. The wood provided was a little damp, so we ended up buying some wood to keep the fire going all night. A great time of year to visit.

Beautiful scenery and interior. The best parts where the champagne on arrival and the spa bath! There is not much reception, which really made it a "retreat". The service was lovely and the breakfasts are unlike others I have experienced, with music playing while the fireplace is lit was beautiful. My only downside is that the robes that are included were not washed or perhaps the cupboard they were in had a stained smell that clung.

Overall we had a really nice, enjoyable, quite time. The customer service was outstanding along with the breakfast they served us in the mornings was defiantly the highlights. I think the property has a lot of potential and would feel more like a retreat if the surrounding properties dump sites weren't so visible. The ambience of the Villa was nice as we walked in although the stale smell internally was over powering which stayed with us during the 3 days, on the plus side the bed was comfy. The AC unit didn't work too well unfortunately, incredibly noisy and struggled to provide much cooling, needs some urgent attention. Overall we enjoyed the stay and would go back but may try another Villa with hope it provides a more comfortable stay.
