The room was very nice and very spacious. We stayed for five nights. The trash man comes early 5am and you can hear the train very clearly up until 10/11pm. The breakfast was the exact same thing every day. Waffles, eggs, sausage. One morning they were out of sausage by 8am. We did walk to the beach. Not a hard walk and the beach was amazing. The bed was very very hard.

No water pressure and shower back up had ask a few weeks in advance if we could get the closest suite to an ocean view they said to call the morning of check in and when I did they said that can’t be done when asked at front desk was rude and bad attitude when complained about the shower they would only give me a card with the general manager email and phone number but never returned any message I sent spent a lot of money on this place but will never go back customer service goes along way

Great location

Older slightly updated hotel. Staff was friendly, pool was clean, rooms and bathroom were clean which is nice. Bed is comfortable too. Gym has treadmill, free weights and a cable machine which is rare to find in these types of hotels. Location is awesome. Breakfast is ok; eggs sausage, waffles, etc. just enough to get you fueled in the morning. I would stay here again as long as the price isn’t outrageous. You’re paying for the location more than anything else. I was just happy that the rooms were clean :)

The doors to the rooms close loudly so expect to hear them slam shut from other rooms. But rooms are big and location is nice since the Encinitas main strip is walkable. Also near the Coaster train station.

Enjoyed the location of the hotel and proximity to the beach, restaurants, downtown area. The breakfast options were good and my family enjoyed it. Liked the quaint feel of the hotel. There were some aspects of the bathroom/shower that could be better updated. My family and I had a nice time and will come back.

Very comfortable bed and awesome perks like breakfast and fitness facilities. The water pressure was a bit subpar but the shower and room were gorgeous! I enjoyed the views from the grand balcony and the hospitality from the awesome staff. Hope to have a chance to return !

Noisy and uncomfortable.

Room was nice and once I upgraded to the third floor then the view of the ocean was nice as well. However, the bed quite uncomfortable for us and we didn’t get good rest. On top of that, the nearby train tracks had trains blaring horns all evening until about 11 at night and then immediately again in the morning around 8 am. For the money, there’s better options around the area.
