It was old needs professional to do upgrades
The guy manager had to put in 3 new light bulbs the shower did not function well and wgeb i asked for 2 comforters because we were sleeping in 2 separate beds he acted put out
The last manager was accomodating its an older property and ithe jetted tub was missing a knob so if you wanted to use it you could not and it looked dingy should be replaced looks like in 2nd bedroom they was a break in the floor and in main room the door going to somewhere had sprayed paint on it
They need help with making the upgrades nice
Really, it was immaculate. For an early 60 Cancellation’s motel, they really made a silk purse out of a sow’s ear with a couple of outstanding renovations. Clearly they care about best foot forward.
The floors of our room were very dirty, which caused us to have to wear shoes the whole time except while sleeping. Our bathroom had a light out, the hot and cold water were switched on the faucet, the shower was rusty, and the bathroom door was damaged in numerous places and did not close.
We didn't stay. Our stuff was in the room for two hours, we went to eat, and we left. The room had an odd odor, and it was advertised as an ocean view room. It/they are not.

Was ok
I thought it was ok- it works for the night. But if you’re staying several nights this isn’t the most comfortable. The bathrooms are tiny and only have showers unfortunately. There is no ocean view, only a parking lot view. The beds were fine, we didn’t really partake in breakfast. The fireplace was nice and used it all night long. There is no spa or hot tub either. If that stuff is important to you than I would look elsewhere
When I was making the waffle the person behind the counter watch me intensely the whole time which was kind of weird.......................,..

Only Stay here if you like to be cold
Upon arrival, my front a bathroom window was open. It was 55 degrees outside. I couldn’t find the remote for the electric fireplace heater, but did locate the controls on the side. There was a 1, 2 and 4 hour setting. I turned it on for 4 hours with no idea what the temperature was set at. After an hour, the noisy thing shut off. I was under the covers and figured it had hit the temp and would turn on again when the temp went down. Nope. At midnight, 2, 4 and 6am I woke up shivering because it had turned off, never staying on for the 4 hours I set it for. No extra blanket in the room either.
I am just under 5’2” and had a hard time fitting in the shower. I could touch the ceiling and when I washed, my elbows kept hitting the sides of the walls. The shower head was barely high enough for me to go under.
Cleanliness was a 9. Some stray hairs around. Bed was comfy. Pillows were lumpy but layer 3 and it was ok.
I travel here once a month. I have stayed away from this hotel due to its rating but the last couple of months have been 10’s so I have it a shot. I should have listened to the overall rating.
Kind staff, very welcoming and helpful. Easy check-in process. Room was just as described. Centrally located & ample parking were nice too. It’s relatively close to the street so there was a small bit of traffic noise but it’s negligible during the night. Perfect inexpensive 2-night getaway spot for me on a solo trip.
I reserved the suite and it was great. I loved the window shades that have great scenes. Nice and light Continental breakfast included with extended hours 7.30 to 10.30. I would recommend this to anyone.
Bed was super comfortable. Stayed here for 4 nights and slept amazing which is a huge thing while traveling!

Affordable stay
This is my second time staying at the Baymont. This time was better than the first. The main pro is that it's one of the most affordable stays in Fort Bragg.
We were comfortable and felt safe during our stay.
You can tell it was recently "refreshed" but the updates were done really sloppy. The toilet was not bolted onto the floor tight enough and wobbled. The shower handle wasn't installed properly and was also jiggly, but worked.
Heat worked well including the baseboard electric heater and the fake fireplace wall heater.
My main complaint regarding cleanliness is the state of the floors. They were extremely grimey and left your feet black. You can tell everyone wears their shoes inside and nobody has mopped in a while, if at all.
The beds were stiff but servicable. I would appreciate thicker blankets as the coast does get cold.
Breakfast was better than expected and stocked with a decent selection of quick eats.
Internet worked fine.
I would stay here again if needed but don't expect a luxury experience.
