This is the typical motel with smaller rooms and not much for amenities. Check-in was easy and our room was clean. The bed was average ... not too hard but did have some lumps. Our room was on the end and near the back which was good for noise. Lone Pine is on Highway 395 and semi-trucks pass through on a regular basis. I did sleep well. We toured the Movie Museum next door and had dinner at a really nice restaurant in the middle of town (Seasons, I think).

Three friends and I stayed here for our Mt. Whitney climb. Pretty standard motel, but the rooms and property were clean and well maintained. Bed was firm but comfortable. There is a pool and laundry room onsite which we used and it worked perfectly. About a 20min drive from the Whitney Portal and just a short walk to shops and restaurants in town. The owner/operator was constantly out working and maintaining the rooms and grounds. Seems like they take pride in their work and it shows. We’d all stay here again when visiting Lone Pine.

Stayed 2 nights.The lady at check-in was unwelcoming, appeared unfriendly. But when we saw her the next day in the parking lot, she smiled and said hello. The Room was on a smaller size, clean but very basic. Towels were very thin, poor quality. Good enough for just get in, sleep, and leave. Would not stay here again.

This was our second stay here this year for just a night to catch some sleep after doing some Milky Way photography in the nearby Alabama Hills. This time there were no parking spots left when we arrived back at the motel around 1:30 am, so we had to park on the street. I got a terrible night of sleep worrying about the car and not being able to get comfortable on the bed. My husband got up at 7:30 am to move the car into a motel parking spot that had become available, and then we both struggled to fall back asleep for another two hours of much needed sleep. Other than that, the room had everything we needed and was clean without an overbearing chemical cleanser smell that we've experienced at other places.
