The room was musty smell. Shower had mold. The tub was filthy with dirty rings. No towel service. No bed service. No trash service. We had to call front desk to get clean towels. No restock of room coffee products. The glass door to balcony was useless it could not be opened. The tv was outdated and very small. The bed was lumpy, we looked under the sheets and there was an egg cushion on top of the mattress. We could not get in the gated pool area so we called the front desk and they could not help us with the proper method to get the security gate opened, we waited for a guest and asked them how to get in the pool gate. This was a poorly operated facility and as a guest paying a high amount for the week it was not worth the money. We were very disappointed in our stay and were more stressed leaving than arriving.

If you are expecting this to be an extension of the Omni Resort in terms of a more upscale place to stay adjust your expectations. It’s not a 4 star, think 3 stars and dated. They do keep the common areas clean and it is ocean side so there are pluses. The Omni amenities are also available for use and it is walkable to shops and beach. It is just a tired and dated alternative to the actual hotel.

Omni Amelia Island is a classy, beautiful and fun property. The hotel staff was friendly and very helpful. The pools and hot tubs were clean. The bar service both inside and poolside was superb. I highly recommend this property.

The ocean front view from the Villa was wonderful and special. The staff was great and the grounds of the resort were well maintained and beautiful. The condition of the interior of the Villa showed some wear from use and the shower did not drain well. Overall we were very pleased with the experience and will plan to stay there again.
