The property was very dirty and unkept. The front entry was filthy and looked like it had not been swept in months. The rooms were okay with some mold in the shower. The hotel has potential but needs an engaged staff that cares.

The service was not good enough. Breakfast trays were short
Staff was awesome. Room was good but bathroom floor was dirty. The best part was staying inside the park and being able to wander around at night to see starry skies.
If you are lucky enough to find accommodations within the park, I would take it despite the high prices. I have stayed both inside the park and outside the park and it’s not worth the extra two hours round-trip driving if you stay outside the park. Staff was always super friendly. There’s even a convenient gas station at the hotel. Sure, it is overpriced but the convenience makes it worth it
TV did not work, but they did give me a discount. No hair dryer in room. Shower took forever to get hot. Spider webs and dust was everywhere. Only real plus was convenient to Yosemite & Sequoia National parks.
For $295 (including tax) we had a bathroom where the sink faucet only dribbled out water. We had to wash our hands and faces in the shower with cold water. Property is overpriced and in very poor condition. The staff was nice but inexperienced.

The property is old and needs to be updated. The toilet in our bathroom ran constantly. The restaurant had limited items available from the menu and the available food was mediocre. On the positive side, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The store was also pretty well stocked and there's a gas station in the parking lot.
This was a great property remember it's very old and rustic with that said, I wish I had known there was only fans for cooling and they had not been cleaned in forever so when you turn them on dust flies everywhere or at least in room 5...other then that... The room was clean and fresh and the staff was very nice and the food for breakfast was all fresh and wonderful...
The property was run down and in poor condition. Outside trash cans were over running in trash and the area around the building was dirty and trashy. The lobby was run down and in bad need of remodeling. The stairs to our room and the second floor had step runners broken or missing. Our room was old an needed to be updated. We had no coffee pot or refrigerator. At night it got very cold and the heater did not work. When I checked the heater on the wall I found that the gas valve was turned off. It was very cold and there is no one manning the front desk at night and no phone in your room to call for help. You could go outside across the parking lot and down the hill and knock on a door and someone would help. I did not want to go outside in the dark with bear warning in that area. It was a very poor stay. We kept a pair of stocks on the whole time we were in our room as we felt the carpet and tile was dirty. I would rate this lodge a 0 or 1 for very poor. We had a reservation for two nights but checked out after that first night. The lady at the front desk said she could only refund my next night if she could sale the room for that night. I rather doubt that would happen.

Disliked: Amenities
Stony Creek Lodge is in a favorable location on the edge of Sequoia National Park. The location saves significant driving time leaving the park to find better lodging. Otherwise, it is an old, rustic property with paper thin walls and limited food offerings of poor quality.
