TLDR: Would not stay here again. We arrived during a snow storm and the heater in our room didn’t work. They sent maintenance to the room but they couldn’t fix it. Then they told us to wait for a space heater to be sent to our room and when it finally arrived it was tiny. At this point we’d been in the room without heat for a while and the tiny space heater couldn’t heat the room. We asked for a new room with a working heater and they made us walk back down to the lobby in the snow storm to sign a new contract. The rooms are very old and not updated. The scariest part was that the door didn't have a safety latch. Our door looked like it had been tampered with on the inside as the wood was chipped near the lock. Felt very sketchy.

Classic Comfort at the Granlibakken

We never stay anywhere else. Yes it's pricey,but oh so wonderful. Even with construction going on, it's peaceful and comfortable. When the pool is quiet, take a heavenly swim. Breakfast is fantastic!!
Enjoy the view and relax while watching kids play on the hill.

I stayed here for three nights for a business trip. Breakfast and dinner places in house were decent. Had issues with heating on first night but staff was very receptive and changed my room right away.

This place is a great value. Perfect for a budget stay. Room was adequate and spacious with K-cup coffee maker, microwave and fridge. Staff is great. Close to Tahoe City and easy drive to Palisades.

Front desk clerk was terrible. Arrived at hotel he told me to wait for 20 min before he can check me in. Then told me I couldn’t get the room that I paid for. The whole time he was on FaceTime with someone. Never had such bad customer service at a hotel. The morning staff were professional and easy to work with.
