Right on the Vegas strip, opposite the Bellagio and Caesars Palace, close to all the other big hotels and casinos. The best bars and restaurants right at your door step. The only thing i didnt like was the overwhelming smell of cigaret smoke!

Overall not impressed. Staff not trained properly at check in or for verification for late check out times. Our initial issues were corrected but still caused inconvienience for late check out time as room key was de activated for normal check out even after verifying late check out time the night before. Our last few hours were distrupted and inconvenience waiting to have acess to our room again. This is when we were told not all staff have full training and what to look for on a customers file for regular or late check out times. Jeff was able to have this corrected but not how we were expecting to spend the last few hours of our stay at this resort.

The rooms are dated. Our room in particular was not as clean as it should have been. There were stains along the bottom of the walls. There were random hairs on the floor and chair. The vent for the air conditioner was coated with dust. And lastly, the sheets on one of the beds had holes and old stains on it. The location was great. Very walkable and center strip. The staff was very attentive helpful.

I paid extra for views of the fountain . It was with the extra $24 a night . The cleaning lady was very personable . She cleaned very fast and efficient. I wish I would have caught her name. The check in lady had an attitude when I asked what the extra charges were .

I have stayed at a number of hotels on and off the strip. The Horseshoe is a quality hotel even given its age. The rooms are larger than a lot of the hotels on the strip. Although the Horeseshoe does not have as many amenities as some of the other strip hotels. Although the pool was closed for renovations. But still really good value.
