Fine room, nice people. We left a laptop in a bureau and by the time I called they had set it aside and a local friend picked it up!!! Thank you Nick!!
Clean, comfortable and quiet. Only drawback is the horrible towels. Small, thin and scratchy. They don't match the quality of everything else on the property
In it for just MONEY. Owner does not ensure you are in a clean and comfy bed. Take the sheets and mattress pad up, pull them back and see what kind of surprises you find. The air conditioner vents need to be pulled and cleaned. Disgusting place fronting as hotel for quick cash.
rooms were small but the facility though older was clean and well maintained. It appeared to be remodeled in the last few years. Our room had a cracked mirror in the bathroom but otherwise was in very good condition. They have done a nice job with the remodel in general but it appeared to not be a professional remodel as it lacked a few finishing details. we were in the back of the complex away from the freeway so the room was quite. Room could benefit from black out curtains as the shutters do allow light in from outside of the hotel, porch light and light from the back of the unit via the bathroom window. Closing the bathroom door helps from that side of the room but no way to cut out the light from the front of the room. Most likely would not bother most people as the room was fairly dark but my wife likes a really dark room for sleeping. I would be willing to stay there again.

Liked: Cleanliness, amenities
Disliked: Staff & service
The rooms were small and the putisde were dated but it fit our needs. It was quiet with a faint train noise coming through. Everything was fine until they did not return my deposit due to smoke but we did not smoke in the room at all. I had tried to speak with their front desk about it but they were quite rude about it. I just wanted to make sure if they could have gotten the room number wrong or to speak with the cleaner about it. They were unhelpful and adamant that the smoke smell was strong.
I usually try not to stay on Motel Dr in Merced because of the noise from the freeway, train and bar, but other hotels were sold out. This was my first stay at this motel and I was extremely impressed. I was either super tired both nights or the room was soundproof because I didn’t hear a thing outside. It’s a single story building so you don’t have to worry about the upstairs noise either. They had two or three parking spaces long enough to park my Pilot and keep my trailer attached too. Friendly enough staff that got me checked in quick. Heater worked great. Beds were comfy.
The price was very reasonable. The room served its purpose. Staff was friendly and attentive. Parking can be a little tricky at night especially. But nothing for me not to recommend this place to any looking for a great deal.
