We recently stayed at Embassy Suites by Hilton Monterey Bay Seaside and overall had a nice stay.
My son absolutely loved the indoor pool…it was warm and comfortable, which made it extra enjoyable during our visit. We also really appreciated the complimentary evening reception with drinks and snacks. That was a nice perk.
There were a couple of issues that kept me from giving a 5-star review. Upon arrival, we found dirty socks balled up next to the couch and floor lamp which definitely grossed us out and made us question how thoroughly the room had been cleaned.
We also had trouble with the temperature in our room. It was freezing when we arrived. I called the front desk and maintenance came quickly with his ladder. He went in and knew exactly what needed to be adjusted and even commented on how cold the room was. Although it improved after he worked on it, the room never quite reached the temperature we set for and we stayed cold during our visit. There was a huge storm while we were there, and the lobby and common areas throughout the hotel felt very cold….not a cozy vibe.
I understand that Embassy Suites charges for parking, it’s hard to pay for it when there’s a large shared lot with other businesses and plenty of available spaces.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay…especially the pool and reception…. but better attention to housekeeping and more consistent heating would be nice.
