We liked the location and were glad to be on the quieter back side of the main building. So many things, however, were not quite right. When we checked in, there were still the prior guests' towels hanging used on the back of the door. There was a pickle slice in the drain. There were large spots on the carpet and mold on the ceiling of the shower. The beds felt like camp beds. The breakfast was good the first day, with scrambled eggs, sausage, and pre-made institutional waffles. But on day 3, they ran out of breakfast food and day 4 they ran out of plates. I know we are a drive from everywhere but they should stock up. On the good side, the shower was good and they used local Motherlode Roasters coffee, which is good stuff.

Hotel was great. The overall experience was not great due to a rather noisy parking lot and late night guests coming in after 2am. Y’all did fine. Just didn’t care for your “friends”.

Convenient Location

Spacious clean room. Front side of hotel was a little noisy with traffic. Eat early or take it back to your room as the breakfast area fills up fast. Great restaurants across the street or down a couple blocks. Very walkable if you are used to walking.

Unfortunately, my recent stay at the Heritage Inn in Sonora was not a pleasant one. Upon arriving, my family and I immediately felt unsafe due to several individuals lingering around the property who appeared to be under the influence and were making unsettling gestures toward us. One individual even approached us to ask what room we were staying in and when we planned to leave, which was very alarming. We reported this to the front desk and were later informed that this person had previous complaints against them. We also learned that some rooms are rented out to local workers, some of whom gave off a questionable vibe. While I understand the hotel may need to accommodate various guests, the overall environment did not feel family-friendly or secure. The front desk staff was kind and respectful, and I appreciate their professionalism. However, due to safety concerns, we ended up checking out after just one night instead of the two we had planned. Sadly, I would not return to this property.

The gal at the front desk (Jen) is a sweetheart and really nice. The room was clean. The room is musty smelling.

I stayed here with my grandson as we went on an overnight road trip to Pinecrest to fish and then some golf so this was a very convenient place to stay. Very clean and we were very comfortable. Employees were very welcoming. I would certainly stay here again.
