I have stayed at a number of Ibis Budgets not only here but overseas as well. I must say that this particular property has to be the worst one concerning condition. It really is overdue to be renovated.
There was no soap in my room so I asked the front desk for some. Unfortunately they had run out of soap with the staff member stating that they had been having problems receiving deliveries lately. That meant I had to go out and buy my own soap. Not a huge deal but not something I had expected to do. Also the TV remote did not work. Whether the batteries were flat, it was just broken or because it was a generic brand remote or not the same brand as the TV I don't know.
I would like to mention one other point and that concerns the emergency exits. In my 2 night stay at the property the 2 closest exit doors to my room were constantly being held open by large rocks etc. I kept moving whatever was holding them open and closing the doors as it poses a security risk to the guests and their possessions. This needs to be rectified.
The best part of my stay was the staff. All the staff that I had interactions with were friendly and helpful.
One reason I stay at Ibis Budget properties is that I know what to expect each and every time. Unfortunately this one was a let down.
Would I stay here again? Most likely but, only after it has been refitted and freshened up. Until that happens it is a big NO.

I know it is a budget motel but the the room was incredibly basic not even a chair no toilet roll holder just very average won’t be back
The room I was given was not cleaned for my entire stay
There was dust and dirt all over the floor
Multiple requests to the staff to have the room cleaned and not done

Friendly and helpful desk staff member. Noisy opening and closing front door. Sewage type odour in the bathroom.
Booking into the property at 4pm and the room was still being cleaned. Room 305 the “keys” that were delivered did not work on the door, had to go down and fix. Bedroom 1 had no bulb in bedside table, one small watt roof light not sufficient lighting. Aircon had a remote that didn’t work. Three air cons on balcony 1 for our room not sure what rooms they were working but we’re going strongly and some were noisy and we’re going all night. I had booked to rooms 305 and 410.
410 the oven door would not close and had to have a foot pushing it to warm up dinner. Dishwasher top draw broken. We applied a fix. Once working it blew the fuse so we turned it off. These items were major OH&S issues. Area around the car park was very messy. We would choose not to stay in future.
