Last month, I stayed at ALO's sister hotel Ayres (which is next to the ALO property). Ayres hotel was newer, more updated, brighter, roomier, and smelled more cleaner and fresh. The staff was friendly and warm; they even waived the parking fee since I was only staying overnight. Perhaps I was spoiled at Ayres, but my experience at ALO was average. The rooms were tidy and appeared clean, but the building and the room smelled old and musty. The AC also seemed to struggle. Overall, it was ok.

There is one dead & alive spider in the bathroom & one flying insects on the clean lining. Even though after clean up the room, the bathroom still has lots of different type of hair or body hair. All new bed sheets have hair before we use. Pool water was extremely dirty with leaves, dirt, death bee & spider web too. You asked for extra towels & give you extra pillow. EV charger was broken too when we arrived.

The doorway was so narrow, we ran into it every time walking in and out. I fell coming out of the shower and hurt my entire left leg w a bruise on my knee because the tub was too high and the bath mat was slippery. There was a man walking around w a red solo cup checking out everyone’s car in the parking lot which is an expensive overnight fee but not secured at all. There’s no TV streaming services just a couple of analog local stations. Staff was wishy washy, some were ok others were sitting their hippo bottom at the front doing absolutely nothing. It wasn’t a good experience for us.
