We tried to check in at 3PM but one of the rooms was not ready until 4:40. The restaurant was closed. No food and no alcohol served despite all the adds on the site. The room was mostly clean, but there was a nasty stain on the carpet and on the ottoman.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Marriott Petaluma. The facilities were clean, modern, and well-maintained. The staff was friendly, and everything felt fresh and comfortable. I was just passing through, but I wish I could’ve stayed longer!

Loved the property overall but did not enjoy listening to children running up and down the halls on the floor above me when trying to go to sleep last night. Parents of children traveling need to be reminded that the children should stay with their parents and not allow the kids to use the hotel as a playground.

It is odd to get to. You can see it from the main road, but tricky to get to it. Therenare a lot of bums hanging around the street you enter from, since there is a homeless "village" nearby. The room was large and clean, the food was ok, the staff was doing their best but they were grossly understaffed, with sometimes one person running the bar/bistro/coffee shop alone. Taking orders as well as cooking, AND helping out in other parts of the hotel as well - there was no one at the front desk at time of checkin or checkout and no bell or other device to let them someone was waiting. These are signs of poor management and do not at all reflect on the staff who were always polite and gave excellent service inspite of the obvious staffing shortages.
