I have to*this review because 1) we always request a pet friendly room and 2) the hotel is going through major renovations. The pet friendly rooms at the lighthouse are actually like smaller apartments. Big and comfortable. We always lament that the pet friendly rooms don’t have carpeting. At all. We would’ve probably brought a throw rug had we known. In January it’s quite cold and not having carpeting can make it less cozy. The bed was very comfortable, pillows were great, there is a buffet breakfast every day that comes with the room, which is very appreciated. Plus the pet friendly rooms are oceanfront with little patios and grassy areas right outside. I’m anxious to see how the renovations look because we definitely will go back and appreciate their hospitality.

Property was nice and spacious for a family of four. We brought our dog on this trip and was sold on this place since it looked affordable and touted that they had a pet bed, treats and bowls for pets. We had to ask for everything when we got there. The pet “bed” was just a cheap blanket. The treats were just some milkbones in a party favor bag. The pet bowls that they post everywhere to remind you not to take ended up just being some cheap plastic pieces which I can’t imagine hold up for several animals. It just felt like a cheap marketing trick. The place is fine for a cheap getaway but if you’re looking for a nice place to treat your pet, this isn’t it.

Pismo Lighthouse Suites is among our favorite places to stay when traveling to Pismo Beach. The facilities are clean and well-maintained, and the staff are routinely polite and courteous. We enjoyed a peaceful stay [ about ten days after the holiday crowds had gone home :-)]. The location is undergoing some remodeling, which we did not know about when we booked our room, but it did not significantly impact our stay. There were alot of great options to choose for breakfast, but the bacon was paper thin and the eggs were just so-so (not the typical quality we've experienced on previous stays). Still, all-in-all, we like staying here and will likely do so again.

It was our first time at Pismo Lighthouse suites and the entire family loved it. We stayed in the suite with a king bed and two queens. The rooms were very spacious and having the two restrooms was a huge convenience. The kids also loved the play area. Overall a great place to stay with the entire family. Will definitely be returning when staying in Pismo 👍.

Great stay again, we have been there more than 10 times. Disappointed to receive a $140 charge on cc a few days later. Contacted hotel, and was told it was for parking and resort fees. It would have been nice to know that was not included in our original charge. The “resort fee” covered the children play area (we didn’t bring kids), the E-bikes (their internet was down) and the “free breakfast.”
