This was my third time staying here. It would have been good but the lobby attendant accused my friend of vaping on the property only because he saw that she had a vape. She did not vape on the property but she felt so uncomfortable that she left immediately. I had to change all of my birthday plans because of the comment. She did not vape on the property at all but she felt uncomfortable and unwelcomed. Everybody else was nice , just not the short stalky bald guy.

Comfortable large rooms, on the doorstep of everything Northbeach and Chinatown. Easy access, Relatively quiet for being on a busy thoroughfare of Broadway street. Stayed many times, it’s always good!

We picked this hotel for its location between North Beach and China Town which was perfect for us. Room was fine but so in need of an update/refresh/refurb - anything! But overall good value for such a great location with free parking.

We always stay here when we visit SF. It offers free parking, and the location is unbeatable. It is right between Chinatown and North Beach (Italian town). Downtown, the wharf, Ghirardelli Square, and the cable cars are all within walking distance. The young men who checked us in were charming.

Great spot. Modest but comfortable, very kind folks working there, and easy walking distance to the Embarcadero. Lots of good places to eat very close by. Would 100% stay here again.

Stayed 3 nights in June 2025. Older hotel (maybe 70’s, early 80’s). Bus stop two doors down (connects to BART train stations and hence to airport) and can walk to pier 9 (straight down the street) in about 15 mins. Walgreens (pharmacy + has food, etc) 2 mins walk from motel. Loads of food options nearby including Chinese (unsurprising as it’s located in Chinatown!), burgers, Vietnamese, and Italian. Can be a bit noisy at times (loud motorbikes/cars, etc) as on a busy-ish road. Seemed pretty safe at night as quite a few people around. Coffee maker and fridge only appliances in the room we had. Weirdly, the bath towels were really small! Didn’t have much interaction with the staff but when we did they were friendly, efficient and helpful. The price, being a bit lower than your average San Francisco room per night, reflects the age of the motel. Other than the above, nothing ‘bad’ noted. End of the day, you’re only there to sleep, not to hang out in the room so no complaints.

Love staying at the Royal Pacific. It's on the edge of Chinatown so it's close to place I like to go including the light bookstore and some well known restaurants including the R&G Lounge and so.e random small Chinese diners. I got a balcony room and it was reasonably priced for 140.

This hotel was fine for our one night stay in San Francisco and not badly priced for the area. It’s older and could probably use some updating. Loved the free parking; that was a big deal for us. It was a bit noisy outside but it is the city. I did think our room smelled kind of bad.

Location, location, location! My favorite place to stay in San Francisco. In the heart of Chinatown/North Beach. Close to everything including the new Chinatown Muni station. Friendly, family run place.
