The check-in person was so friendly. It was very quick -( there is a self check in option we didn’t use). She gave us great suggestions about what to see and where to eat. The wine happy hour was a nice amenity. The room was very clean and comfortable. Great location, literally next to Chinatown in one side and the super high end shopping on the other.

Excellent location, staff are nice, the breakfast croissants are huge, and a fun happy hour. Gym was decent appointed as well. Bed comfort was 4/5, nice pillows, but the AC was a bit odd (needs servicing) and a slight smell to the room. Nothing that I couldn’t overcome but that is what prevented it from being 5 stars. I would still recommend staying here and everything was so convenient.

If you’re looking for a memorable hotel experience in San Francisco, you . How this place got an 8.8 rating I’ll never understand. While their pricing resembles that of their branded cohorts around Union Square, the property feels more like an Airbnb than a luxury hotel. The rooms are tiny, the fixtures are miniaturized, and the amenities nonexistent. There’s no provisioning for parking and one lonely desk agent whose spirited response to every question is, “Perfect”. This place has views, no ambience, and no service but what it lacks in of pretense. I liken it to an Airbnb with the added bonus of a hidden $50 destination fee.

I stay at many of the lower end Union Square Hotels meaning under $250 per night and Triton is the best of them. One minor nit, the bathroom door was loud when opening or closing. Very minor but worth fixing.
