We stayed at the Avenue Inn in San Luis Obispo for one night. Overall, everything was excellent — the room was clean, comfortable, and well-kept. The only downside was the noise from the guests upstairs; it sounded like they were stomping around, which made it a bit hard to relax. Otherwise, we had a great stay and would definitely consider coming back.

The rooms were clean and updated and quiet at night. The property is super convenient for walking around the downtown. It also has easy access to the freeway. It's walking distance to the Nautical Bean plus a couple other bakeries and coffeeshops for breakfast. Easy on and off the freeway. Would stay there again, no question!

Stayed here while visiting Cal Poly. Staff was very friendly, easy check in and out. Room was clean and has all the essentials. Bed was really comfortable. Expect to hear people upstairs walking around if you're staying on the first floor. The place can improve in terms of utilities--the water pressure was weak and the side table light would flicker/dim when you use the blow dryer:). But overall I'd recommend.

I liked the fact that the hotel room actually consisted of two different rooms with beds in each one. The smaller room could have had a door, though, for better privacy.
