Pool was nice. Didn’t like that everyone was smoking cigarettes next to my window. I liked that they are pet friendly and had free treats at the front desk. Rooms were below average, gave “landlord special” vibes. Beds were clean though.

The night clerk was rude and spiteful. He couldn't find the reservation, gave us the wrong room, wouldn't put our two rooms together telling us 3 people had checked in...but it was midnight and MAYBE 1 person came in. But no one had the adjacent rooms the whole time we were there. THEN tried to blame us for everything! (The day clerk was nice.) The hotel looked like it had been through a war. Water was backward...to turn it off, it had to turned past the scalding hot water. The a/c was barely adequate. The location was the ONLY redeeming quality.

Not a great place to stay

My daughter and I had a room with two beds. One of the beds had an imprint where the mattress was sagging. The shower floor was disgusting. There was no toilet seat cover. There were holes on the front door where it appeared a lock had been previously. The room could use a coat of paint. We were also warned about a man that has been acting strange and lurking around at night.

For the second time since made the mistake of reserving at this hotel. I wanted to give them a second chance but still the same problem. They made me wait over an hour for my room. That said that was not ready and that they didn’t had any more rooms to accommodate me so I’m had no choice. I ask for a discount on the room because they had me waiting in my car but “Nothing “. But i guess that “ You get what you pay for”

The room smelled so much of cigarettes and pot, it was almost unbearable. Burn marks all over floor and shower. Shower was tiny. Room had clearly been broken into at some point, on the door where the bolt lock is was completely dented in. However, probably the best pillows I have had in a hotel in a long time.

Sadly price hikes due to local event meant this was the lowest priced. Check in was easy, but the location was right off the exit do was noisy and homeless hung around the back of the parking lot. The room was clean but it smelled like old smoke. You could tell it used to be a smokers room. Everything worked fine and towels were clean. Bed was old, but no bugs.

Property and room is fine for just going to sleep and getting up and out. I had no complaints in that regard. It wasn't much for comfort, but it served its purpose. It's not a hotel for hanging out or for more than a couple nights. It actually felt a little like a nice prison. It was clean, but smelled so strongly we had to air it out for an hour. I would stay again though because it's cheap and didn't charge for dogs. There was nothing strikingly offensive. It was just fine.

Will never stay at another Motel 6 again. The check in went smoothly and the employee was very pleasant. Decent start; but then I opened the door to the room and was hit by a seriously foul odor. I step into the room and could feel the dirt crunch on the floor. No fridge, no microwave, and two micropillows that Temu would be ashamed to sell. The shower curtain only covered 75% of the showers opening and resulted in a puddle on the floor 10 minutes into my stay. Sound from the property, like doors slamming and other occupants arguing permeated our room the entire night. The toilet screeches like a mandrake root with each flush. It didn’t matter whether it was our toilet that flushed or the neighbors. Fast forward to midnight when I took the dog out for a bathroom break. A “resident” tried to invite us into his room for drugs and drink. If anyone is going to come to Atascadero, there are way way nicer hotels for just $10 more per night.
