I'll admit I was hesitant to book a Motel 6, but with parent weekend at the college, accommodations were extremely limited. I'm happy to report I was pleasantly surprised, with one exception.
The location felt safe and was incredibly convenient, situated close to the college as well as Costco and Target for any essentials. Parking was ample and hassle-free. The room was clean, and the staff were genuinely friendly and helpful throughout my stay.
The room is very basic, don't expect frills. There's no blow dryer or in-room coffee maker, though I was told you can upgrade to a room with these amenities for an additional $20 per night.
My only real complaint, and it's a big one, is the beds. They were truly terrible to sleep on, which unfortunately overshadowed the otherwise positive experience.
Bottom Line, for a budget-friendly option in a pinch, this Motel 6 exceeded my (admittedly low) expectations in most areas. The proximity to campus made it practical for parent weekend. Just be prepared for an uncomfortable night's sleep, or consider bringing a mattress topper if you're staying multiple nights.
