Great staff assistance

The hotel was a little disorganized at breakfast and struggled to refill coffee pots and maintain stock of utensils. While our first room was given to us on accident because it was not cleaned yet, the staff was very helpful in quickly resolving the issue and helping us get situated.

Sands Inn Ok, Gets the Job Done

Sands Inn & Suites in SLO is just okay. The staff are the highlight, being super friendly and kind! The hotel itself is mediocre. The room was clean but dated. The hot water took forever to feel hot as you had to let water run into the bathtub or sink for 5 minutes + before it turned hot. The hotel gets the job done and is close to downtown, but keep expectations low.

Its under renovation. Had that been advertised i would had stay somewhere else. The 1st room that was offered to me was occupied. I was placed in a 2nd room. The bathroom sink was leaking which i didnt notice until the morning and the bathroom door hit the toilet when u open it. The ac/heater didn't work. They offered to switch me into another room andI was offered a space heater but never received it. The continental breakfast was like going to Dollar Tree store for snacks. The receptionists were nice but wasn't very concerned of the conditions of the hotel.

Don't stay at the Sands Inn

The place was horrible they were doing construction there was plywood all over the parking lot and then to top it off they gave us the wrong room when they already had given the room to somebody and then the room that they gave us the deadbolt didn't work about the only thing that was good was the free breakfast

Gal at the front desk was very nice and accommodating. The smoke detector started chirping in the middle of the night, yet otherwise the stay was good and location was great for us.
