Clean but cold water only

I would have given them 5 stars across the board BUT of the 3 days we were there, we only took one hot shower. One day was cold water only and the other was barely lukewarm. When I called to ask about the water or concessions for the inconvenience they couldn't care less.

the toilet clogged and they couldn't plunge the toilet. instead we were offered to switch rooms at 1145pm 😭 i usually like this area since it's close to the beach and affordable i would stay again just if i'm offered that room again i would request a different one 😎

It was surprisingly decent and comfy. The dining table space is a bit odd. It's nice having amenities (minus your own coffee pot). Very roomy bathtub and room/bathroom were clean. Occasional slamming doors in the car lot were irritating, but manageable. It's a beautiful area, and the back view of the mountains is pretty. I didn't like that I had to show proof that my quoted and various emailed itinerary confirmations reflected $6 less than I was being charged. However, the very nice male (friendly salt & pepper bearded Latino guy) rectified it, once I showd him the text.He's a pleasant and respectful attendant, and we liked him. Unfortunately, the two Latina ladies (Sandy & a younger person) were cold and unfriendly (no personality, no personable skills). Particularly, Sandy, was rude & dismissive on the phone (during reservation), and she was rude to my friend, when he asked for a blanket). Not a professional presentation, minus the male attendant I mentioned. That was a put-off part of our brief stay' nonetheless, it was a pleasant stay overall. We'd stay again, for sure! They merely need to be much more aware of their phone andpublic personality/service warmth (don't come across irked, careless nor bothered!).

The room I was in had a weathered look: cracked floorboards and beat up furnishings. Also, really outdated. Looks nothing like the room in the picture. There was no blow dryer!? Beds were hard, small and uncomfortable. I had to use a pair of scissors I happened to have brought with me to open up the soap and shampoo packets, which were impossible to tear. Was on the first floor beneath apparent elephant trainers who were putting their beasts through the entire act: Stomping and thumping for hours. I skipped staying the second night that I'd already paid for. Luckily, I was in town for a wedding and only lived about fifty minutes away and drove home. And this is supposed to be the BETTER of the two Motel 6s in Carpinteria. The staff was nice and the cleaning crew stopped by, so service was fine. Would not recommend to visiting friends or family.

Great location for Carpinteria and Santa Barbara. Walking distance to Main Street, restaurants, stores, beach, etc. Smaller rooms. Old motel but in decent shape.
