We had a long flight and there was a computer glitch at the front desk. Totally not under their control, but we asked for some water and were referred to a water machine. We had no containers with us and prefer bottled water due to to unsanitary condition of those machines (people putting the mouth piece on the machine). They offered free breakfast due to the delay, but I explained we were leaving at 5:00 am before it opened. She put it on there anyway I guess to make it look like they compensated us. We arrived in the room and wanted to order room service. We tried calling several times but the line was busy. I called the front desk and told them we were unable to reach room service. We were then placed on a permanent hold. So, we were not able to eat dinner. Then, we decided we were just relax and watch TV and the remote control did not work. The batteries were dead. I tried calling downstairs and nobody answered. So, I went downstairs to ask for new batteries. The guy at the front desk told me he would bring them to me and I insisted he replaced them right then and there because I knew I would probably never get them. The next day, the lady at the front desk explained we would be able to get a cab to the airport because the train did not run as early as we needed. We learned that the cab needed to be preplanned, which she didn’t tell us. If you have to stay in the airport in London, I would suggest staying at one of the other hotels or a hotel slightly off sight.

Everything was above expectations for an airport hotel, including the breakfast. The room layout and customized furniture made it very easy to organize and access my bag. Staff at reception have a system that recognizes previous stays, which is very professional.

if you have an overnight layover at Terminal 5 in Heathrow you can't find an easier place to stay. Breakfast was excellent too. Great variety of dishes to please our family.
