Good place for self-catering holiday. Room was a miniature studio apartment with a 2 hob cooker (no oven) and a microwave. Unfortunately no pans available for cooking in the room. Room cleanliness is good and staff friendly and helpful.

The bathroom has no tub, just a hole in the floor, so the whole bathroom floorgets wet. It's so small that you're standing about 3 inches from the toilet. The bathroom floor is always wet and when you're showering, you're standing barefoot where people regularly walk in their shoes. So disgusting. There's this filthy cubby in the corners that was awful and had no purpose. I'm glad I only staid for one night in this prison-esque room.

Perfect for 1 maybe 2 nights. Very clean and very compact. Only found the tiny fridge iron etc when I was leaving. But only there for sleep and shower. Recommend L5 or above. Will increase breeze. No aircon. And minimise any street noise at night.

Find another hotel if possible

The best thing about this hotel is the location. It’s close to everything you will want to do in Auckland. Other than that it’s not great. Room cleaning is inconsistent at best, breakfast is a voucher for a cafe up the road, elevators are super slow, and the wifi barely worked. Upon leaving the room I found some old catalogs left by a previous guest on top of the one small storage bureau in the room…from 2022, and covered in dust. That should tell you all you need to know about this hotel and their cleaning standards.

Pleasantly surprised

Pleasantly surprised with our stay. The rooms are small but it is sufficient and it’s a budget hotel, so it makes sense. I’m 6’4” and hit my head on the shower rod because it’s a small bathroom and it hangs a bit low but no big deal for me. Other guests weren’t loud so we slept through the night fine. Also had an ocean view from our room and a small balcony. Wi-Fi situation could be better. Requires a new code and max 2GB. Otherwise all good.
