The room was ok but definitely a little tired but at least the bed was clean and fresh. The lifts and common areas also looked a bit run down and in need of a refresh. Ok for the price but I probably wouldn’t stay again.

I like they let us borrow hair dryer at the lobby and I was able to use it downstairs restroom. Also they let us borrow Type I adapter which was very helpful during our stay.

The room is extremely small good for an overnight stay with no baggage, very steep step from the toilet/shower combo which was dangerous thru the night, being in the CBD it is noisy at night and there is no air-conditioning in the middle of summer, just a wall mounted fan. On the positive the staff were very friendly and helpful, good WiFi, great got water in the shower, microwave, hot plates and a mini fridge and the beds were comfortable. Public transport, shops and supermarkets are on a couple of minutes walk away

Solid place to stay. This medium tall skinny 18 story building with just 8 units per floor, offers uber cool small but efficient units with compact kitchens & city views. Excellent central city location. Easy walk to everything. Queen street is the main street. Also, has breakfast option. Stayed in room #6, on the 5th floor, which was a corner unit. Very compact, but tall ceilings, Micro balcony with full sliding door offering plenty of natural light. The "shower room" with a toilet & sink was interesting, like a boat or ship bathroom. 5 nights in early-November 2025. Negatives: Needs two bedside tables & a small table with a small metal chair for sitting at (only a small stool was provided). TV only had access to 8 stations with only two actually being accessible. No hand-held shower head option. No USB ports. Positives: Easy check-in. Room was quiet, clean, & comfortable. Nice city views. Water was instant hot. Nice compact kitchen with Microwave, refrigerator, 2 place stovetop, kettle, glasses, plates, & silverware. Decently provided Coffee, Teas (green & English breakfast), & Hot Cocoa. Silverware/ceramics were clean. Check-out was easy, just drop the key card off. Final thoughts: I really liked this compact corner unit with ship like efficiency. Just needs some tables. If the price is right, I'll be back.

Clean, tidy and quiet. Comfy bed and pillows. Very small with little room for luggage. Shower (only curtain) make a wet mess of the rest of the tiny bathroom. Was pricey on a Sunday night but can see it's much cheaper on other nights which makes me feel I was gouged.

Very happy our room was ready when we arrived as it was before the check in time. All those working at the front desk were friendly. It is loud on the streets in the evening but the hotel itself is worth the money. Would use this hotel again.

Property and rooms are definitely showing their age. Rooms are compact, though the bed was comfortable. Televisions are quite old and only pick up three channels, which is fine if you want to seek alternative entertainment elsewhere in Auckland. Microwave and hob provided, but no cutlery or pans to cook with so bring your own if you intend to cook. There's a step into the bathroom area. Water pressure for shower was good. It's fine as budget options go, and is relatively close to the city centre, only a short walk to the waterfront.

The room was neglected - no light in the showeroom. The bed was tiny, it felt like being in a prison cell, with an awful walk in shower/bathroom. Just am unplesant experience all round. I missed budget in the title ....should have gone to specsavers! Never again
