The thing I like about this property is that is close to the village like 2 minute drive and if you want to walk is 15 minutes. Is a good place to stay but it will be even better if they were to renovate some things. I stayed in room 17, sink in the restroom doesn’t work it didn’t have water we didn’t bother to say anything because there was another sink right outside the restroom and we were only staying for one night. But the whole room was dirty with dirt everywhere even our nightstand. The fire alarm was removed and found it by the tv. The mini kitchen sink, coffee maker and microwave was also very dirty, like they didn’t care to clean at all from the previous guests and left it as is. By the way the coffee maker didn’t have the glass cup to make coffee. All pillows had stains and hair. The curtains were messed up. Whoever washed them didn’t read instructions so they were burned from the dry. I just wish it was a lot cleaner, and I know people will say you get what you pay for but it is actually not a bad place and not that cheap just wish they care a little bit more. Breakfast is just a snack not really a satisfying meal ok and is inside the office. You are able to get coffee anytime of the day which is nice but please ask your housekeeper to do clean the room properly and your front desk staff to be nice because we were greeted badly.

Cleanliness needs improvement.

There were some hairs at the tub.. We found some dirty bedsheets. Not only stained but dirty. And the and 2 pillowcases even had make up from the previous guests I guess

Ok stay for one night. The room was very dusty, had a couple worn out fixtures. Several of the linnons were stained. Overall to expensive for what it was.

Our stay at Big Bear Lakefront Lodge was an absolute nightmare. The conditions were unacceptable, and management was completely unhelpful. Here’s what we endured: Broken appliances – The stove didn’t work, the garbage disposal was broken, and the fan/light in the dining area was out. Filthy and unsanitary – Mouse droppings throughout the kitchen, no cleaning supplies, and not a single trash bag provided. No basic necessities – No toilet paper, clean towels, or even basic kitchen utensils, cookware, or glasses. Severe temperature issues – The upstairs was unbearably hot while the downstairs was freezing due to a broken window. No one in our family could get a decent night’s sleep. Hot water disaster – The water heater only allowed for one warm shower before running out, leaving the rest of us with freezing showers. Internet didn’t work. The cot was a joke – The mattress was so bad that it would be considered inhumane for a prison. Management was nonexistent – The office was closed most of the time when we sought help, and when we did get in touch with someone, they had no idea what to do. To make matters worse, we’ve been trying to get a refund for over two months, and neither Big Bear Lakefront Lodge nor Expedia has done anything meaningful to resolve this. Instead, we were offered a small credit for a future stay, which is insulting given the experience we had.

Stayed for my birthday weekend, and I’m very happy I found and booked this lodge. I reserved a lakefront room, and it was lovely. Although next time I think I’ll request a room on the second level. Check in was a breeze and the young man that helped us was nice. The rest of the staff we encountered through out our stay was very nice and helpful. I definitely plan on coming back in the future!

Worst hotel ever. No customer service. Dirty, unsafe, unpleasant smell. We arrived 30 min early and the guy told as that there is a $45 fee for early check in even though he stated that our room was ready. That’s low and I didnot appreciated that expecially with 2 kids with me. We decided to leave and come back on checkin time and when we got to our lakeview room the only accurate thing was the fact that you could see the lake from room. Room was nothing like pictures on the website. It was dirty sheets had hair on them and it seemed like they were never changed. Beds were not comfortable at all. Heater was not working and we had to call someone twice to fix it but even after his 2 trips to our room it didnt work. The only heating source we had was fire place. And if it was not enough for my family’s worst hotel experiance around 7 pm we came back from dinner and saw water coming down bathroom’s silling. We went to office to notify them there was no one, tried to call the number again no answer. We end up not sleeping at night because of that water noice. After sleepless night we tried to leave as soon as possible and around 8 am there was no one again in the office. We had to wait an hour untill someone came and we checked out. We told the guy at the office about everything he apologized and promised to make things right after he talkes to his boss. Still nothing from managment and to tell the truth I am not waiting anymore. It was the hotel experiance ever.

Love this place!

Staff was very friendly and helpful! Would recommend staying here anytime of the year! Being right on the lake was beautiful in the winter and we’re sure it would be spectacular in the summer!
