Honestly my bad for booking a $40 Motel room and expecting the place to not be gross. I check in only to learn that it’s . Leaky bathroom faucet, brown skum in shower, paint peeling off walls. Pulled bed away from wall to check for bed bugs and while there were none there was a done of dead skin and hair built up under the bed

Honestly i was very anxious for my stay, i had seen that there were bad reviews but only after the fact that i already made reservations, surprisingly i had an awesome time, the manager was super nice and welcoming as well as all of the other employees, she did let me know of the warm water not working in the building i was staying in, none the less i wanted to stay in the room so id have a kitchen, the room exceeded my expectations, it was very clean, they had utensils, dish ware and cooking ware. the private water front was so beautiful especially at night. the balcony was a definite plus too. they did have complimentary breakfast with items like juice, coffee, cereal, breakfast bars and a few other things. my stay was very affordable. Although it’s mid summer in california the weather was perfect, unfortunately there was no ac, and as a person who gets very hot easily, i would say the ac was not needed, i’ll definitely be returning and would recommend checking this place out for your next stay up in big bear. there were many fun activities that i was able to do in my 2 night stay, there are many things that are at walking distance or a very short car ride away, id recommend going to the alpine slide, going out for a kayaking experience, and/or checking out a fun spot called gold rush mining adventure.

arrived only to be told there’s no Hot water. Accepted it being that we had driven 3 hours and our toddler had thrown up in the car so he needed to be cleaned asap. Left the next day even though we had two nights. The linens were not clean and the floor left all of our socks black. No refund was given for the night we elected not to stay. This all made for a pretty miserable experience for our first and last time at big bear. I don’t recommend.

Great location, unfortunately rundown. Traveled with 2 kiddos and we didn’t have any cold water for bath time the entire stay. Breakfast wasn’t available Saturday morning so come Sunday morning we just ordered food to be safe and avoid any hangry meltdowns.

I was suppose to stay for 2 days ending up staying longer. Ladies in the office makes you feel at home and welcomed. They even offer free continental breakfast and coffee. If your looking for a private and quite place this is the place. Good for Artists and Writers, a quite place to concentrate.

Close to the Village and nice to stay on the lake. You should remove the breakfast option on your website. People may be disappointed when they see it. Wifi was good. Friendly staff always smiling and easily approachable.

Told until 9:00 am Went at 8:30, door was locked Nobody there- I have two small kids, so DID NOT buy milk cause they said they'd have it Was no dowels Was no got water Beds are like jail spring mattresses Was no beach like advertised I want a refund... They had no hot water in our building but they said Hotel.com was not supposed book the rooms in the first place. They did take $100 off for our weekend tho. But continental breakfast in just a coffee machine, dry cereal and granola bars. 2 queen beds in my room and 1 of beds literally had a box spring as the mattress. Cool they had a boat dock. You can keep your boat tied up all weekend. Besides that. Not a fan

Dirty bathroom Room dirty floors spiderwebs coffee bags but no sugar nor sweeteners not clean cups Not safe patio/deck sliding door lock did not work properly hard time to lock it no maintenance Ceiling Fan had a very short chain to stop the fan Light worked Really bad place Deceiving pictures shown on line shows a nicer place Told all my impressions to the check-in clerk We couldn’t get another place because the whole Big Bear area was booked and packed with visitors We were staying one night only thank God so we decided to slept there for one night and we left next morning And by the way BREAKFAST WAS A JOKE!!! Never again and We are really surprised that Expedia is sponsoring this place it’s really a Bad recommendation-Marcos Penalba

The girl at the front desk. And the location are the only redeeming qualities. The private beach is a joke. It’s no more than a dirty harbor with no seating as advertised. At check in the room had no hot water (apparently a gas issue which also meant no fireplace). There was no towels in the room. The floor was dusty. And I had to negotiate more than a 15% discount. Do not recommend.

there was no hot water and it wasn’t going to be fixed until the next day, room was dirty found toilet paper on the floor behind the door, there were crumbs on the table, the table was loose, one of the beds did not have a mattress topper it was only the springs and I found a long hair on one of the pillows, lastly the beach area was super dirty
