Property felt very safe. Room was very nice and staff did a great job with cleaning the room during my stay. Appreciated having a fridge in the room. Walkable to dining options and very close to all amenities in Bishop.

We were traveling with our dog and it was nice to be able to find a dog friendly motel. Having said that, the carpet in the room was filthy. The carpet should have been replaced with hardwood a long time ago.

This property was fair enough - basically clean, firm mattress, working air conditioner (but loud)- but we had no hot water. Also blackout curtains that wouldn’t close all the way and room door that required a push to close. Location was good near the center of town, near a Dennys. There was plenty of parking. The breakfast was slightly better than basic with boiled eggs, yogurt, toaster waffles and fresh fruit, in addition to pastry, cereal, and coffee.

I have stayed at this Vagabond Inn several times and been very happy. Normally I would give 5 stars across the board. However, on my stays on 9/6 and 9/12, there was no hot water. I could barely get warm water in the shower and got tired of wasting water in the sink waiting for hot water ... I used a coffee cup to heat water to wash at the sink. I think they need a visit from a plumber and a new hot water heater. I will be confirming that the hot water issue has been resolved before booking a room here later this year to go snowshoeing. I hope that the problem is resolved since I normally like stating at this hotel when in Bishop.

ZERO STARS - NOT RECOMMENDED

Won’t be back: TV didn’t work, no working phone in room, no hot water (lukewarm water/cold for showers), beds lumpy, internet spotty, saw staff washing sheets in public laundromat on site - makes you wonder about cleanliness/sanitation of sheets and towels. Was advised by staff that no maintenance was available.

It was nice and clean. The facility was a bit old. 2nd floor rooms have no elevator, so if you have mobility issues be sure and reserve a first floor room.

Stayed here for once night on the way up to Lake Tahoe. Stayed based on other reviews and wasn't disappointed. Property is clean as well as rooms, staff was friendly and the included breakfast was good. Only minor thing of note, the floor by the vanity and sink was very dirty, hard to see since the flooring is dark, but it left my toddler's feet black. Would just suggest mopping the floors weekly. Overall would stay here again.
