From the moment we entered the apartment, we were met with an overwhelming and unpleasant odour that did not improve even after opening windows and doors. The overall condition of the room was very poor. The furniture was worn, tired-looking, and made of melamine with large sections of laminate peeling off. A vent, which had been loosely covering a hole in the wall, fell off as soon as we closed the door—despite no one being near it. The walls were dirty, adding to the general sense of neglect.
Although reception offered us an alternative room, we declined for several reasons. Prior to our arrival, I had made multiple attempts to contact the property with a simple inquiry. When I left a message no one returned my call. When we were checking-in, the receptionist was eating at the front desk which gave the impression that guest concerns were not a priority.
Given the condition of the room and the lack of professionalism we experienced, we felt it was best not to stay. If this is the standard presented to guests, it raises serious concerns about the overall management and care taken with the accommodation.
