They have a great Manager Allin he has Transformed the place from an alcoholic center and drug dealing place one and a half year ago to a stable staying place.The problem they need to address is to have security walking around the property after 5pm because you still have very weird customers.they need to install cameras so they have access to the facility 24/7from the lobby its imperative the do that ASAP.Allin is a great manager but he is also a human being .What happens to the place when he is not there if you have no cameras.I travel all over the world and I have noticed that cameras prevent crime and scare dealers thieves away.Cameras and lights be security at night will make it a more competitive and desirable place to stay

The first room, in the style we booked, didn’t look like the images online. The floors were dirty and it smelled bad. We were moved to a regular room (no fridge and microwave) which was better but had gnats the entire time. The room was cold and everything was damp. The heat in the room didn’t work and when maintenance came they said they couldn’t fix it because if they turned the hot on it would be like a sauna - too hot. Our daughter is now sick from sleeping in a cold room during a cold week in Carlsbad. There were no toiletries besides bar soap and when we asked they said they were out. They also were out of clean towels when we requested them and had to wait til more were washed.

I reserved and prepaid for a queen bed room. I was initially assigned a room with a full size bed. When I complained at the front desk, I was told the bed and all beds in the hotel were queen size. I was subsequently given a room with two full size beds.

Because it’s a motel, it’s OK to be dirty?

I get it. It’s just a motel, not a hotel, but does that mean it needs to be dirty? We found dirty socks underneath the bed hair in the bathroom on the walls and in the corners it’s almost like they didn’t clean it at all.

Clean room. Fridge and microwave were convenient. Luggage rack was available. Bed didn't smell fresh though. Bathroom light didnt work. Neighborhood was nice. Loved walking distance to the beach. Best value for a long stay in a great location.

Wouldn’t Stay Again

Room didn’t have pillow cases. Floor was dirty. Staff was kind at the desk. Parking was iffy and there seems to be a lot of permanent residents. Some doing car repairs. There was also a domestic situation where police were called
