Great staff, room was great being next to the beach. The carpets were stained so we asked for beach towels to lay down, so we didn’t have to walk on them. Room was small, no microwave, but still a great stay.

Our room, with a balcony facing the ocean was spotless when we arrived! It was our 10th anniversary and the hotel gave us a bottle of Martinelli and a very sweet card in celebration. The front desk people are always pleasant and very accommodating. The common outside areas are very comfortable with the firepits at night and the great drinks and snacks from their kitchen/bar area. We have stayed here many times and will continue to do so.

We were told we would receive a statement online. We did not. Then when we went to check our bank statement, we saw they charged us an extra $550. When I reached out to them, they told me that was a management issue and that management would get in touch with me the next morning. They did not and have not in the days after. I can't imagine a worse scenario that has left a terrible taste in my mouth.

Everything was great! Right on the ocean, nice fire pits to sit around. Clean nice rooms. Very happy. Two downsides. It was $10 a day for the microwave. Even the cheap hotels have those for free. And, Expedia said the price was inclusive of taxes and fees. We were charged $17.64 in occupancy tax and other fees. If it wasn't for those last two charges it would have totally received 5 stars!

The Sandcastle is always a pleasant and comfortable beach experience. It’s near everything and the views are perfect. I travel for work a lot and this is one of my favorite places to stay when I’m in Pismo

We loved our stay at Sandcastle!! The staff was extremely accommodating and friendly. Rooms were completely clean and felt safe. We had everything we needed. This will be our new go to for Pismo!
