The firat impression was a smell of cleaning chemicals, but clean and roomy. However, if staying on Friday and Saturday, do not expect to get any sleep till after 2:00 am. There is a bar/dance club in the adjoining property and is open till 2:00 on Friday and Saturday nights. The music starts around 9:00-10:00 pm. When i asked to cancel my second night at the property, they allowed me to and apologized for the loud music, but said there is nothing they could do about it as it was another property. Unfortunately, i was not offered the rate that i was quoted on Exedia. But it was worth me being able to move to another property. Booked .y own lodging at another property up the street and i had a very peaceful sleep on Saturday! Would not recommend this property for a Friday through Saturday stay!

Nice area, beautiful location. I booked a room with a balcony with ocean view and they gave me a side view. I wasn't impress. Their really is no access to the beach. I dont recommend this hotel the hotel next to it have a better view.

This place is fine. An oddly designed, motel style building that is divided from the beach by a four lane road, railway and fence. The price is reasonable but the stay is just adequate. It’s a relatively clean place to sleep, and that’s about it. No harm done. You get what you pay for.

We absolutely loved the location and especially our room. We originally picked to stay there was the location and hot tub. It was just originally for the night but we decided we loved the room we got going straight out to the hot tub and view the beach. We had some minor issues that others would be really upset about but didn't bother us much and they did fix when informed. It was one the cable TV in the bedroom the 1st night and the bedroom next night. However are deciding factor was the hot tub to use again between going back and forth we could enjoy, well it was shut down overnight. We weren't informed it was down till Tuesday. We were very upset when we arrived back to use.

I wanted to like this property but the location was not that great. The beautiful ocean is just across the street BUT the train runs along the street and there is ugly chain link fencing preventing an easy walk over. You must go a few blocks down to a 2 story overpass with lots of stairs. The hotel was quite dingy and the lock on our door was broken. It needs a make over and clean up and would have potential.

Great location, I would even say underrated at that. We went during the winter but the weather was still amazing for outdoor activities in the area. Frank and the staff were awesome, and super helpful. Thank you.

The room was very small. The refrigerator was in bathroom , room was next to elevator and evey time it goes up or down a loud tik tok soind was there also every time A/C starts with loud boom even you culod here from other rooms too we did checked out early and short our trip not recommended at all. The pics on web its not matching the current condition.

Bday weekend ruined ants in room no one cared

Ants in room , after we were told it was only a summer issue. We read a previous review talking about ants in bed. Literally using restroom and they are crawling all over your feet. Front desk male Sun Dec 29 did not handle well or even apologize. Pictures are deceiving on website, run down dirty. Location decent that’s about it Don’t stay here…. A motel 8 would be. Better

Such a beautiful location with the ocean right across the street. Very handy to restaurants and the Dana Point Pier. Was decorated so beautiful for Christmas all around the area. Hotel room was spacious and very comfortable.

Poor building conditions, rusty sink, loose faucet, wobbly door handles, rusty or broken door holders, broken visible pipes in parking. generally the facility is very poorly maintained. We would not recommend its current condition and we will never return to this facility unless it has had very major renovations. It is sad to see such poor quality in such a beautiful location.
