While having no power is out of anyone’s control, failing to notify me that the property had been out of power for several days until the day of check in, after I had already traveled to Carmel, is unacceptable. I spent another three hours driving home in the pouring rain and over an hour on the phone with hotels.com to get a refund. This could have been avoided with better communication.
