This place has great views and access to the beach. Very open and bright. Staff at front desk didnt seem interested to be there and were very very casual. Our room had stuff under the beds stuff on the wall.

Absolutely the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. Booked my room months ago for a basketball tournament. Spoke to a representative on the phone two days before check in to confirm my room only to arrive on day of check in to be told my room was canceled. They claimed it was because “my card did not go through” but the card on file was never charged and I had spoken with a representative two days prior and was assured my room was safe. They offered to put us in a much smaller room for over twice the price I had originally booked for while also charging us for the roll away beds we would need. Upon touring the room it was dirty and cramped and would absolutely not fit all of us. I will never book here again and will tell everyone I know how unprofessional and unacceptable this experience was. I am also contacting the better business bureau because this happened to at least five other families. All of use who booked rooms at a cheaper rate were canceled so they could fill the hotel with new reservations at twice the rate.

I booked here a couple months before a basketball tournament (Jaycees 56th annual) and they canceled my reservation without notifying me. This happened to at least 4 other families that we know of. They did this because they jacked the rates up for the weekend of the tournament and when I initially booked in advance the rates were decent. I will never book here again. I recommend that anyone who books here to check on your reservation several times before you arrive to be sure that you have a room because they will not tell you if they cancel your reservation.

Thankful for the ocean

The location of this hotel is unparalleled. The ocean is literally right outside your window, the lighthouse is right next door. And that’s good, because it helps to temper how uncomfortable the bed is, how tiny the shower is, and how our key almost never worked.

Our room was the dirtiest room I’ve ever stayed in (unsanitary, there was no obvious trash or mess). There was dog hair on our sheets on arrival. My husband asked for a new sheet and the one they gave him (to replace ourselves) also had hair all over it. All of the surfaces of the room were sticky and dirty. The walls had food/snot and god knows what smeared all over. I ended up taking a bottle of disinfectant wipes I had to the room and was disgusted by what I saw. The room came stocked with two towels, being a family of 4 we asked for extra towels and not only would they not bring them to us, they asked we exchange the ones we had for new ones. I’ve never had a hotel ration towels two per room before. The hotel states it’s “pet friendly” online (that explains the hair on our sheets) but I was disappointed to walk around the hotel and see huge piles of poop all over the place.. I guess that is mostly up to responsible dog owners but still unfortunate that they don’t take pride in the cleanliness and appearance of their facilities.

Horror lodge do not stay!

Staff was incompetent and rude, hotel was disgustingly dirty rodent traps, mold, pool was filthy did not provide deposit back after not even staying due to dirty conditions bed was filthy. Pool and spa was very dirty as well.

Warning! Awful Place!

The heat in the room didn't work and it was really cold. We complained to the front desk and they finally sent someone after 3 compaints. We ended up buying a space heater because we were so cold. They said the heater couldnt be fixed and they refused to give us another comparable room. The whole place smells old and moldy. The hallways were loud and smelled like dog pee. There was dog hair everywhere. The breakfast at the restaurant was poorly made, and it took over an hr for just scrambled eggs and bacon. The TV doesn't even have cable, and good luck if you want to try any streaming services, the TV just kept buffering. Never stay here!

Stayed for 2 nights with my husband we had an okay stay, beautiful view of the ocean from the rooms. Our room wasn’t necessarily super clean tho there was a hand towel with toothpaste smeared on it from I’m assuming the previous guest and a few trash items under the beds other than that rooms were clean. As far as the staff goes whoever the young gentleman was that checked us in was not very clear in his speaking at all. He talked so fast and quite at the same time I barely could understand where the room was located or when everything was shutting down, really made it seem like he wanted to talk to us as little as possible. They also say they have 24 hour front desk service but everytime I went down to the lobby no staff was anywhere to be found, someone from the restaurant in the lobby had to walk over and see what I needed. Overall the location of this hotel was pretty nice, it’s right on a beach next to a lighthouse and super close to town. Regardless of how my review may sound I would most likely stay here again.

The best thing about this place is the location. Beautiful seaside spot. The hotel itself was probably great in 1978, but pretty rough today. My room was not clean. The staff seems disinterested. If you are hungry, eat elsewhere.
