My husband and I came to Laguna beach for our baby moon. We chose those hotel for the price and location and we were very satisfied. This hotel has direct access to the beach and they offer complimentary chairs, loungers, and umbrellas at the beach. We spent most of our day out and about walking up and down the street to the restaurants and shops and going to the beach. The walls are pretty thin and the curtains don’t keep out all the light, but we didn’t mind it and thankfully didn’t have any noisy neighbors. We plan to come back again with our kids and enjoy the beach and location!

I arrived and property looked shady because valet in the alley, I checked in and the clerk gave me room I believe 107, upon walking to the room it was a very older looking area like people live there, it was a kid running around above us, the kitchen was outdated, the caret had tears in it, the furniture was very old, we was scared to sit on it, the leather couch was old, the tv was so small on the wall, the bathroom had mold around the tub, the bedrooms looked okay but we were scared they might have bed bugs, we left the room immediately to go get some lunch and when I arrived back I went to the front desk and ask the clerk to show me that room on the site, so now she wants to act like she don’t speak proper English blaming my booking and false advertising on Expedia a 3rd party , so the guy clerk said I would help you, he started showing me pictures on their site and I said those are the same exact pictures Expedia has, he claims Expedia has the wrong pictures and those are not what they sent Expedia and again I told him show me the pictures of that nasty old looking room on your site, long story short we were moved to room 131 in an entire other building which was newly renovated, very clean. Ocean view, I wasn’t able to get my full kitchen, but it was much cleaner. I told him I didn’t care if I was there for one night I need this to be the best experience. I was defending Expedia as if I work for Expedia

Awful awful awful

The hotel is older one but right on the beach. We booked a premier ocran front. The view was amazing. The sounds of the ocean could be heard all night. The bed was comfy. And that is where the good ends. Small kitchen with only a fridge, sink and coffee maker that hasnt been cleaned in years. The sofa and chairs hard as a rock. The toilet is hard to flush and gets backed up constantly. We had to call maintence for the shower as it wouldnt work. After waiting an hour they came and semi fixed it. We were able to use it at thisnpoint but each time had to pull and twist knobs in a mickey mouse way, as the maintence guy said to do until it can be fixed. The walls are super thin. We could hear our neighbors entire conversations and tv. We had to call maintence again because the tv kept losing signal. The room had a private balcony not so private. Its a small.gate that doesnt lock so we kept having people come in our "private" area. When asked management said yeah it happens. Valet is $45 a day. And although they were nice, you pay and they literally keep it parked where you park it. Not really valet except they hold your key. The elevator is a death trap. I wish i were kidding. Its so old, small and made of wood. 2 people fill the elevator and each time it hardly moves, gets stuck for a bit and even drops a little. We ended up taking stairs, much safer. The pool and spa are disgusting. Days later they add charges to the card on file and hangup when asked about them

This propertys only great feature was the location and view. The staff was never present for towels and we had to request services several times. I could hear my neighbors fighting very loudly. My jeep was parked by the vallet and when I left it with them it was in good condition, whether it was them or another vehicle my jeep was returned with a cracked bumper. I did say something about the room and my neighbors fighting no one even acknowledged it. No microwave in room so no left overs. The parking costs a lot and it was not disclosed at the time of booking. For the amount that I paid to stay here I felt that the services and the amenities were not up to par. When we did run into people they were friendly. Everything was within walking distance. If you book it book it on the ocean front balcony view otherwise id find something more updated for the same experience. Can't say I'd use this hotel again.
