We spend a quality time at Big Pines Mountain House here at South Lake Tahoe. It was a very relaxing and comfortable stay for us. Staff was nice and check in process was quick. We like the room we got and were happy with the amenities provided. Location of the Hotel was great and we enjoyed walking in the neighborhood. Would stay again!

Owners/staff are not unfriendly, but are not friendly either. Hotel is old and I usually clean (I have stayed here many times) this time the room we stayed in was not totally clean. The safe did not work, nor did the “fireplace”. We usually stay here because we bring up dogs. This time we did not bring the dogs. I would not recommend to stay here if you do not have pets.

I had a wonderful stay here at Big Pines & Mountain House. They took really great care of me. The bed was very comfortable and parking was easy. Highly recommended for budget accomodation in Tahoe.

I have stayed at this hotel in the big room with a kitchen many times in the past. It is a great location and good price. This time I noticed it is becoming run down ( just like all of SLT). The room we had this time was full of black hair everywhere and in the shower. I used to live up there and so sad to see what it is now
