Upon arrival, we booked our reservation through Cedar Inn but were then instructed to drive across the street to Alpine Inn to check in, which was confusing and inconvenient from the start.
Our room was extremely outdated and poorly maintained. The bathroom heater looked like it was from the 1940s and actually caught on fire at one point. There was visible mold in the bathroom, and part of the wall appeared chewed up, as if by rodents. Overall, the condition of the room felt unsafe and unsanitary.
Check-in was supposed to be at 4:00 PM, but when we arrived at 6:00 PM we were told our room was not ready. We ended up waiting an additional hour and did not receive our room key until around 7:00 PM.
The next day, we requested additional towels around 11:00 AM. When we returned to our room around 5:00 PM, no towels had been delivered. There was no phone in the room to contact the front desk, so we had to walk over. No one was working the desk at that time. When we returned again about an hour later, we were told there was only one clean towel available for the entire hotel.
This was by far the worst hotel experience I have ever had. Between the safety hazards, lack of cleanliness, poor communication, and nonexistent service, I would strongly advise staying far away from this property.
We were also informed by one of the staff member that the hotel was hiring illegals and ICE came and raided the place about a week ago and they have no workers.
