This is a hotel for someone who isn’t looking for something fancy and just needs somewhere to stay for a short period of time. It’s in a very convenient area. 8 min walk to Hollywood blvd and prime center to all the attractions. It can be a little noisy because it’s on a busy road. It’s a standard hotel that has all of the basics and isn’t charging you these a large sum deposit.

The pool was freezing cold and dirty, very limited parking, the pictures were not accurate, room was very small with peeling paint, terrible to get in and out of for traffic, beds were very uncomfortable, water pressure in the shower has terrible, walls very thin, we could hear everything outside. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

We had two double beds, the room was good-sized. Los Angeles in this area is noisy, not just traffic, but there was a three night concert at the Hollywood Bowl, just up the street, and that contributed to the noise level. The hotel is uphill from Hollywood Boulevard, so it’s a bit of a hike. Women may consider the area along Highland to and from the boulevard as “sketchy”, and might feel more comfortable walking in groups. LA has its share of homeless, and there’s usually two or three camped at Franklin and Highland.

How do I start. At this location the staff was awesome but you can tell they are treated and paid badly. It seems to me Best Western is like one of those bad companies you stay cause of the camaraderie between each other but not the very low pay that doesn’t even cover them to pay the bills. Definitely a part time not a full time job cause not even the amount of hours work would make it up a reliable job place. So tip the staff they deserve a better salary for the outstanding service. Kuddos to the cleaning staff and handy man that help me when I most needed it. My wife and I had a blast. Def would come back just not cause of the CIA but because of the staff who treated us like family. Hotel conveniently located close to Universal (5-10 min drive), Hollywood Walk of fame (5-10min drive or about a 20 -30 min walk), and about a 10/15 min drive to the Hollywood sign. Room was a good size, clean, pool area was small but still enjoyable. They have a cafe/restaurant in its grounds as well. Didn’t have an issue with parking, even after getting back late from universal. Only “issue” is that since it’s conveniently located, the morning and afternoon rush hours can be an inconvenience for some, but I had no issues coming and going during these hours. Would definitely stay here again.
