I recently stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn Hollywood and would describe the experience as okay, but not quite up to expectations—especially for the Hilton brand. The property itself feels a bit dated. Many of the room fixtures and equipment seem old and could really use an upgrade. The room I stayed in had a patchy wall that looked like it had been repaired but never properly finished, which gave it an unpolished look. Another downside was the on-site restaurant, TGI Fridays. It was a major letdown—not only was the menu very limited, but the food quality didn’t match the convenience of having a restaurant in-house. If you’re expecting a full-service hotel dining experience, this won’t meet that standard. On the positive side, the location is convenient if you’re planning to explore Hollywood attractions, and the staff were generally polite and helpful.

Unfortunately, we were told by management that they overbook so when we arrived they did not have the room we paid for, available. We had to suffice with a different room and wait for an additional rollaway bed to be sent up. It took 2 hours and constant calling to get the bed sent up. On top of that, the AC unit doesn’t work and the staff was unapologetic about their lack of service and accommodations.

I like that the location was close to everything I wanted to see while visiting Los Angeles. In addition, I enjoyed the dining options and easy parking to get into the hotel. However, I felt the beds were too hard and the shower head came part for a few nights of our stay.

Waiting for valet parking is a nightmare. It backs up onto a busy street. No fan in bathroom. No recycle bins. Only two packets for coffee add-ins (like sugar).

Comfortable rooms and close to Hollywood bowl. That was very convenient as we were attending a concert. Would have preferred no charge for the first two bottles of water in the room. Also would have liked healthier breakfast options at the restaurant within the hotel.
