Motel 6 Mammoth Lakes
The two doubles were clean and the shower was fine. The walls were paper thin and you could hear every word from your neighbor. We brought ear plugs so it was not to bad after that. Porsche at the desk was great and gave us a nice location. There were signs for people not to back in their cars, but it was not enforced. Fumes from a diesel truck came into our room the first morning. I ask for a late checkout the next morning for the inconvenience, But the front desk gave the cleaners the wrong room. They did let us in so we could change, but not shower after skiing. Late checkout was 1:30 , but the had no late checkout for later. Even if I paid for it.

The rooms lack microwave, fridge, and coffeemaker. at $155/night on a Friday night in April, it seems overpriced—like the rest of Mammoth.
The staff is very good and eager to make it a good experience. Due to the horrendous price level in Mammoth Lakes, this hotel is a great option - even at $200/night on a weekend day.
In my past two visits, both of my rooms have been subpar. This most recent visit the heat didn't work! Yes, they immediately offered to switch rooms but we had completely unpacked from our long road trip and were not interested in repacking to move. I requested multiple times to have maintenance come and fix it but they declined. Luckily we didn't freeze to death! Also the toilet seat was dangerously loose and the doorknob to the bathroom was about to fall off. I reported these to the front desk upon check out. I certainly hope this isn't the trend with these rooms because I used to love coming to this Motel6.
Very close to the bus shuttle to mammoth mountain ski resort. So very good location. Small amounts of hair was still found in the restroom floor. But not too bad at all for the price. Staff was nice as well!
The room was very outdated. The shower valve was very loose and almost impossible to find a consistent temperature. Similar to the sink. The toilet flushed extremely loud, similar to an airport. The climate control was outdated and does not offer cool air. The walls are very thin and you can hear everything from outside. The beds were stiff and the comforter was stained with cigarette burns in a non smoking room. The only positive to this property is the location. It is centrally located and easy to access. This is a “motel”
