Carmel is lovely

The Wayfarer was fine for our needs. Amenities were very basic (starchy sheets and towels, etc) but the room was large and they are dog friendly. The location was great- everything was walkable. They had an in-room air conditioner, which was loud but helped cool off the room (it was warm during our stay). Parking is limited but we always found a spot. The keys are old fashioned (it's an older motel) which was perfectly fine but I wish there was a deadbolt option on the doors.

The place is clean and neat. The staff are friendly and helpful. Only thing we didn't like is the shower. Water is low due to clogged shower head. And the sink the water drains slowly.

T bb et room was basic, clean but nothing special and out dated decor. Bed comfort was average. All of this would have been ok if it had been priced reasonable. It was a $250 a night at best and only that much because of being in Carmel and the room was $550. So really overpriced and no reason to return to it.

We stayed in the “executive” 2 bedroom unit. It was clean, modern and looked to be newly renovated. The hotel/motel is located perfectly for shops, restaurants and walking down to the beach. We also went to the theater to watch a musical and that was a short half mile walk too. No frills, clean place to stay - you are out all day so this was perfect for us - two adults. Fridge but no microwave in room. We did self check in and check out so did not interacted with staff.

Great Spot - Thanks Om!

Good, well priced place to stay in Carmel! Fairly basic but nice! Amazing location and Om was the best and you can tell he loves what he does :)

I like the proximity to downtown and surrounding areas, however we were surprised that the "private parking" only has 10 designated spaces for the 18 rooms available. Being as we arrived on a Saturday made it a challenge to find a close enough area to park to unload our baggage. It did get easier as the week progressed. The rooms were clean but could have been mopped prior to our arrival. The floors were not as clean as we would have liked as our socks became dirty immediately. One bathroom sink was clogged from what looked like debris from a tree but the staff was great and maintenance took care of it immediately. Overall a great stay with plenty of space and somewhere I would consider staying again.

Excellent location and room was large and comfortable. However, the floors were so dirty that our feet became grimy. Floor of the shower became black as soon as we stepped in and rinsed our feet. Had to wear slippers inside at all times, but hard to do with a child.
