Puppies non-stop barking

We reserved room 104 and everything was fine on our first night but around 9 am on Sunday, we were woken up by at least 3 puppies crying and barking in either room 204 or 205 above us. Made a call to front desk to inquire if they can please check on it. They stated they would send someone. We waited for another 2 hours and puppies were still crying and barking. As we were leaving for the day, we stopped by the front desk to see if they sent anyone and the lady at the front desk said they did and didn’t hear anything. I told her that wasn't right because you can still hear them and I recorded it as well. She said she would check again. Luckily when we returned to our room later that evening, the puppies were no longer barking and crying.

The staff is wonderful and friendly, but the rooms need a little upgrade, they also need a deep clean, plus there was a roach in one of the rooms.

The best motel in all of north county for location, nicely renovated rooms, friendly staff and quiet. New heat & cool units in each room are easy to set and are accurate to set and forget. There are plenty of fast food restaurants around and a Walmart within walking distance. Lyft & Uber frequent this motel as needed and all rooms are easy to find. Coffee is available each morning in the lobby until 10:00 a.m. which is seldom seen these days. An elevator which makes it so much easier to check-in & also checkout without having to use stairs.

It’s not the property, but the location, as it is the vagrants and ne’er-do-wells milling about like bottom feeders. It might sound petty, and I’m glad someone could use it, but I had a couple of gallon water jugs taken out of my pickup bed. I wouldn’t leave anything of value in sight, or even leave it in the car. Sigh, it is a sign of the times.

I have never been disappointed at this Motel 6. They keep things working most importantly both ice makers in the vending & laundry room for guests. On a recent stay at another Motel 6 location 2 ice makers outdoors and one indoors didn't work at all nor did they have Out Of Order signs on them. If I was working there I would have brought in to the lobby the biggest cooler/ice chest and kept it filled with ice for the guests. Those without refrigerators I would have notified when checking in ice was available for their needs. The grounds all around the walkways had things stored that really were eyesores for guests to see. This Oceanside location has the best fast food/restaurants all around it plus quick access to I-5 and the 78.

This Motel 6 has professional grounds keepers that mow the grass. The trees look great trimmed and are filling in nicely with leaves at the tops of each branch reminding me of bonsai trees. The parking lots and all the cement thoroughfares are cleaned by using leaf blowers. There is pride in the landscaping and it’s that time of year that things really green up and grow.
