The good : The night employee was super sweet and nice. He explained all the details despite myself being a bit tired from travel and he just has an overall positive attitude and energy. The parking lot is small but we never had a hard time finding a space. The room was spacious, clean, and well maintained. I was also pleased by the cable TV because it had ALL the channels which was nice to relax after a day at the beach. There’s also a laundry facility where you can wash your clothes for $3/load. The location is super close to the beach and other restaurants and activities. The bad : The day shift front desk wasn’t as friendly and wasn’t very accommodating. There’s also a $200 deposit which can take up to 5 days to return to you - which I think is an important detail to advertise. Our room was on the first floor, which was accessible but loud. And the window opens to the parking driveway which meant we felt uncomfortable opening the curtain ever because guests could look in. The bed is covered in plastic. Great for sanitary reasons but it was so annoying to sleep on. It was also a very firm mattress but it got the job done for the night. The laundry is a great convenience but the day shift hotel staff was unable to give me any quarters and they do not have a quarter machine. The vending machines were also broken. Overall, for the price I would stay here again, this is just info I would like before I choose a place as well.

The staff at The Hotel Oceanside was very kind and helpful. There is a required security deposit of $200 but it could be cash or credit card. Our room smelled a little musty and I mentioned it to the front desk. She apologized and immediately sent housekeeping up to spray air freshener. The beds are a little hard. But overall the hotel was clean and great for the price. I would definitely recommend The Hotel Oceanside.

Everything about the property is basically wonderful except I felt like I was in a prison camp. You cannot get through the door without using a key and your watch coming and going so you can’t have any guest without registering them and producing ID. It’s all unlike any hotel I’ve ever stayed at and that respect. I would not go back even though I liked the room the cleanliness And the location.

The room was nice but needed some tlc. Specifically the ceiling which had old cobwebs hanging. Bedroom window was great. Loved the big window. Most of the room was quite clean.

Very convenient location. Staff friendly. Security (i.e. front door) seemed good; required room key to unlock 24-hrs). There didn't seem to be a restaurant or bar; just cash only vending machines, granola bars and coffee downstairs. The building is definitely older and worn; lots of wear & tear in the rooms, although clean. The internet is so bad it's virtually non-existent.
